Hard Rock Radio Live interview

Hi Spector crowd. I am interested in buying a spector bass and would love to hear your recommendations. Here is what i am looking for:
- 4 Strings
- that reverse PJ combination
- the curved body
- neck through would be nice
I am looking for a good value for money rating. As much as i would love to, i cannot afford a NS-2. I live in germany if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.
In terms of finish i am quite open. I love browsing this thread because most if not all spectors really look amazing. The one i like best is the flat black seethrough one.
Hi guys! I'm finally able to let you all know, I'm a member of the Spector family! And prooooud of it! There shall be some pics taken soon for the site (so I am told) and this here is the (first) bass I ordered from the Czech factory.
It's a Euro 5lx with black matte stain finish, no inlays and the normal electronics. I want to change the elecs to a blend knob and one volume though, but I am not good at wiring so it'll have to wait.
Here it is!

Just look at the finish! Beautifil!
It plays soooooo great out of the box, better than my ReBop for sure and it has sustain like... like... like nothing I have ever heard before. It's a dream, let me tell you.
Can't wait to get this thing on stage!
Excuse the crappy pictures, it's winter in Norway. I've already forgotten what the sun looks like.

Congratulations on such a beauty! I'm about to put in an Aguilar OBP-3 in mine. I'll let you know the outcome. I do not like the Tone Pump, that much is certain.
****DEAL ALERT!****
There appears to be a very nice Euro 4LX listed in my area. I don't have any money in my bass fund at the moment so I figured maybe someone here was looking for what appears to be a great deal!

Beautiful! Congratulations! Have you seen the limited edition NS-2 NT Walnut, only 8 made?I just bought one of these limited run USA NS2 walnut basses this week. Looks and plays fantastic, worth every cent. Not sure if you're looking for a bolt on or neck thru or how much you want to spend but these appeared to be the best bang for the buck on a new NS2. Sale price is quite a bit lower than list on these so if interested don't hesitate to connect with the store owner to see what kind of deal they'll give you.

I'm in the same boat. Still thinking about my Rebop 5 custom but the jazz body style is really catching my eye. I've been wanting a MIA fender 5 for a while but have decided against it due to hit or miss quality.
They just ended the interview and are playing Ball and Chain as an outro track for the interview right now.
I even had the event on my iPhone to alarm when it was time. Argh! Thanks for the great response! This was exactly the type of answer I was looking for.
Sidenote: I think I'll be trying to convince GC to ship a used Legend 5 to Canada when I'm ready to order my next bass.
For now: Get EMG 40P & 40J, and choose a pre-amp for my "Rebop to NS-5 Bolt-on conversion".![]()

A question for those in the know. Did the Kramer Forum I basses (the early '80s model with neck-thru construction and the Spector bridge) come equipped with a Haz Labs preamp?
I ask because I have an opportunity to grab one at a good price.

And to think, this time last year I had never even tried a Spector or given one much thought. They truly are an addictive bass that over delivers in fit, finish, build quality, tone, playability, feel and looks. And the kicker is they do it in just about every price range you can imagine all the way from beginner basses to insane custom jobs. Great company, great products and great service. Glad I found them.
They are addictive. I had played the same two basses for 15 years (which means I hadn't bought a bass in 15 years). I bought my first spector a year ago. Now I have 3. I check the classifieds every day looking for more (even though I don't have any money) I see that pattern over and over in this group.
Once you buy one Spector, you want to buy all the Spectors.
One doesn't "find" Spectors, they find you!
