Yeah, but you might not get a response to this for another 3-4 days

The ground wire under the bridge connects the bridge to ground (so you ground when you touch the strings..which touch the bridge) but with active EMG's you shouldn't need it. When I replaced the EMG's in both of my USA Spectors with passive pickups, I had to add the ground wire.

A local music shop has a used spector euro in natural finish for 999.00. This doesn't include a case. It seems to be in decent shape. I could find one nick and no other real flaw. It's the PJ configuration and doesn't come with a case. I was contemplating buying it, but it was a little above what I was willing to pay. I'm thinking about going back tomorrow and grabbing it. I just wanted to be sure it's a reasonable price for it.
Thanks

They are called "EMG" knobs by several retailers that have them. I get them pretty cheap from Stew-Mac.
been a long two weeks!
did my first show with the new band last night. didnt expect to see a video but someone got one.
not my most exciting performance but i only got 2 rehearsals with the band.. once a week earlier and once early that day so my main concern was not getting lost...lost of stuff going on with both the guitars and drums Lol
I ran my NS6XL thru a Aguilar TLC going in to a Darkglass B7k.. ran the Darkglass DI straight to the board and then ran the out in to a Mesa Big Block 750 BUT I only used it as a power amp and bypassed the preamp... (I really dont like the Mesa but it was just convenient at the moment lol) Then used my Aguilar D410
I wish I had a better audio sample of it... I was quite impressed lol
The knobs I have came from Stew-Mac. They are cheap plastic (which is fine, I have them on 3 of my basses) but my pre kramer era HAZ has knobs that look the same but feel more like rubber and the have a hex screw to hold it down.
Any body know where to get those knobs?
The new Spector 9v HAZ may have the cheap plastic ones, the same as the euros. Does anyone know if the knobs on a new haz feel the same as the euros?
I have a JA-R too (I'm thinking about unloading it), and I'm dying to get an original NS-2JA. I believe the bodies on the reissues are smaller than the originals. I'd love to compare the 2 honestly. Mr.bassie do you have a US9V in it?
Hi All,
I finished up the all the tung oil on the Legend body and finished it off with a coat of finishing wax and a few coats of fresh conductive shielding paint in the cavities. Now I just need to install the electronics and put it all back together.
I have 2 sets of knobs that I'm not sure which set I will use on it. I have one set of Euro style knobs and one set of the Aluminum knobs from Best Bass Gear. I will try them both out and see which ones that I like better.
I have one question though: Where does the ground wire that goes underneath the bridge get soldered to at the other end?
I didn't pay attention to that wire when I took the Bass apart and I didn't see the bridge ground wire on the TonePump PDF wiring diagram

Well done brother! Looks wicked!I have really enjoyed keeping up with your progress. Thanks for taking the time to share it. I am looking forward to seeing it all back together.

I noticed that the shaft size was larger than the TP pots. What are the shaft sizes on the Haz?
