I ordered on Memorial Day Monday a AE guitar and received it on last Friday. It shipped from Texas to Northern Michigan. What Spector did you order? :D

It's a tonepump. I've got the trim at about 50%. Couple of the tips provided helped a lot. The two pickups blended with full bass boost and bout 75% treble is doing the trick so far. I also got out my live rig to get a feel for tonight's gig and coupled with the suggested bass settings things are sounding killer. A large part of the problem was the pf-500 and 410cab I practice with. It was really taking the life out of the tone. Plugging into the GK rb head and 412 cab the tone of this bass is monstrous.

REALLY?!?! :eyebrow: That was my main gigging rig for a couple of years! Haha PF-500, PR-410HLF...a mountain of power and tone. :bassist:

The bad... I was told that my job is going to be lost (I figure the end of June, maybe mid July) :crying: - I shouldn't have too much trouble finding another job (from what I've been told the software developer market is still pretty good- hope it stays that way).

So, just a quick question for my Spector brothers out there - have any of you tried Ernie Ball Cobalts? I love them on my Pedulla's, but since I'm loving the tone on the SIT's on my Spector (for the short run I did with it), I wanted to get some other opinions. I guess it would help if I told you that I'm a metal player (Maiden, Sabbath, etc).

and yes, with just a quick test drive, I can easily see this moving into the #2 spot on my arsenal... or a tie with #1 (I can only imagine how this monster is going to sound when I use it on my big rig :bassist:)

I love this bass - it has my alien friends who pop out up top when the light is right. And it has a unusual quilt pattern that the Czech shop folks put together so nicely. The tone pump in this one is the perfect match as well. No urge to change it out.

I like the bottom quilt on this shot....

There's a lot of variation in the color of that stain.

I've been able to capture the color as it is several times.

I don't know what else to say other than sometimes even with the best lights and settings on your camera, you have to color adjust the final image in Photoshop. Either adjusting the amount of blue or sometimes toning down the saturation, other times upping the sat.

I just depends.

Perhaps this is why it it is notoriously difficult to capture in pictures. My dark blue NS-4 is the same way - I've yet to get a picture of it that truely captures it's actual color....

Installed the D-tuner on my NS2A today. Works but it hits the back of the headstock when you drop. Anyone else have this issue? It looks like I will have to slightly bend the lever to have it not hit. I just wanted to see if there was another solution before I do........

Are you able to put a washer between the headstock and D-Tuner? A thicker one if there's one already? I wouldn't recommend bending the lever... It may effect it working properly, stick and bind up. Also call the company...I hear they have great customer service. Good luck! :)
