Ice , yes it is but the tone pump sound and then boosting it to 18v has totally won me over . But you may know this already I'm a 80 % picker and the tone pumps shine with the picks .

So, you have the Aggie? I'd trade you the tonepump out of my 435lx straight up. Pm if interested.

I looked a little this morning and found 2 nontrim TP's. I know I had one with the trim pot. If anyone wants the nontrim TP's let me know, one's for active and the other is for passive. I also have a EMG B64 is anyone wants to try that. I'll look again tonight for the trim TP, I could have already gave it to someone. I know I gave a friend my BQC pre to put in a ESP he bought from me. I'm bad for giving out stuff then going to use it and realizing that it's gone. I'll look again tonight.

There's always crazy glue :) I remember reading stories of Flea putting crazy glue on the cuts of his hands so he could still play but I would never expect you or anyone to do that :)

It's funny that you mention exercises for your ring and pinky though since I have really been trying to concentrate on doing those lately. I bought this DVD called "Accelerate your Bass Playing" to help out with my technique and there are a few exercises in it that concentrate on those 2 fingers and I didn't realize they were that weak. I have only been doing it for 2 weeks but the difference I see is very noticeable.

About a year ago, I was doing something incredibly stupid with one of my razor-sharp kitchen knives, and it went about 1/4" into the tip of my left index finger. I went to the ER, and they super-glued it, rather than stitching it. That is SO cool! I will never go to the hospital with a flesh cut again, no matter how big or deep it is.

:D

Awesome. The people from Norway were at the NAMM Show and were really excited about Spector. I just added them to the website two weeks ago. Glad that Spector is now there.

I LOVE Norway, Finland and Sweden. I dated a girl from Finland in college for 2 years. A pretty serious thing... and I learned so much about the history and culture of Finland, Norway and Sweden.

:D

My wife is Norwegian, and she's just the best!!

If I ever got an invite to NAMM, you'd bet your ass I'd be there and super excited! :)

Yeah, it seems like more people are suggesting that. I went through a time when I had really dry skin on my finger tips and it was so bad that they would start cracking open which was super painful.

I went to a dermatologist and they tried a few things that didn't really work so they just suggested the liquid band-aid's but if i didn't want to spend the money, to just buy crazy glue. It worked really well actually :)

News from PJ today:

My Bahama blue NS-4 is in the home stretch! 30 days until completion. YAY!!!
I ordered it in early February; that's not too shabby at all.

Cool! I'm expecting the UV 5XL soon too since that order was early January. Time to start packing up the boxes of pennies!

Nice! Looks like they are really cutting down on the build times for neck-thru's since I think it was up to about a 10 month wait if I am not mistaken. Can't wait to see both if your finished basses.

Oof - that's right. They're going to want the other half of the $$$ for it when I pick it up. Ugh!

Plus, I gotta buy a set of strings when I pick it up. I will have TWO sets of unused Spector nickel strings at that point - a 5-string set from my Alex Webster that I removed upon arrival, and the set from the NS-4.
I'll put up a note next month for anyone that is interested; I'll let both sets go extremely cheap to one of our brethren.

As some of you may know,I've been working on a refin project. After changing my mind about the color at least twice a day. I've come to a decision. It's taken a long time to even get to the color stage because My guy, Chris Bavaria, was slammed with work. That, and the base coat was bulletproof and very difficult to remove. The end result will look a something like this.

Going to do the neck in a faux Wenge/chocolate brown. The wings will get walnut stain, like this. Matte finish. Thanks to Sam, the Spector pimp Godfather for his genius.

PJ told me yesterday that the black Euro bridges are back in stock on the online store. They had been waiting on a shipment of them from the Czech shop since late last year.

He also mentioned that the supply of new US9V pre's will be tight for awhile longer due to component shortages and all of the new US builds going on right now.

Thats going to be awesome and likely a club favorite.

On the other topic, I think i should've just kept my mouth shut, but please note Patrick I started out by saying I trust and respect you and I meant it.

Superglue is the only thing that keeps me playing through the winters. My fingers crack regularly and that's the only thing that works.
