Haha. Awesome. I obviously haven't spent enough time around here lately ;)

BTW. I'm leaning black as well... Though the chrome certainly makes those frets pop.

if your looking for a 34" 5 ( which that should be , but things are always a little wierd during a transition) that bass should be a killer. She's a heavy tank, but a great bass. i would put a pump in there though, not a fan of the BT circuit. They may have stuck a euro 9V copy in that though. pre's were a crap shoot those years.

OK guys Patrick came through with a black bridge so here's all three. What do you think is better. Gold... Chrome... or Black.

What say you! :D

Chrome is still my pick with the ebony.

I would like the black with the BEM board.

Gold looks good with both BEM and pau ferro. And based on those pics I think I'd still like it better with ebony than the black hardware. All of this assumes gloss finish.

If you stay with the matte finish, then I think the black might work.

We are definitely talking gloss finish just like the pics.

Outbid at the last second! Wasn't meant to be

Hey everyone - Looking at modding an older single pickup Performer series bass and wondering if anyone knows if a Legend series neck or a Warmouth parts neck would work on the Performer body? Possibly creating a bit of a Frankenbass but need a new neck and trying to find a Performer series neck is proving difficult. I may have a line on an older Q4 series 4 string neck but not 100% sure yet.
Not looking to spend a fortune since it's a project/experiment but wondering if anyone might know where I could find a decent inexpensive replacement neck for this bass?

Hey dudes, our 2 new singles got released FINALLY! I want to thank everyone for all their support and help with the making of these. All your input was extremely valuable. They are also available on the other sources (Amazon, etc.) if you don't do the iTunes thang.

BTW, both tracks were recorded with Spector NS 2's. On "Every Single Day" I used my amberburst, BEM NS 2. For "The End" I used my buckeye burl/walnut NS 2.

Peace!

Chrome.
For some reason with the darker fingerboards the chrome hardware really makes the abalone pop.
Also, Ultra-Violet is more to the blue spectrum than a more traditional purple or maroon color.

The fingerboard of The Blue Dream is very dark. One of the darkest Pau Ferro fingerboards I've seen. A considerable amount darker than my NS-4's fingerboard.

I think the chrome really makes that combo stand out.

The photo below shows EXACTLY what I mean.
Taken with my CELL PHONE.
You can see how dark the Blue Dream's fretboard is compared to the NS-4 right next to it.
And look at that chrome bridge... :D It totally pops!

Purple is "flashy" as it is, so gold even more so to me.

The color is pretty dark, so you don't get much contrast with the black.

Thus, I vote chrome. Gives it a different look, us you don't see many Spectors w chrome (I'm a sucker for anything custom or different).

Quite honestly, all 3 look great though. In this case, you really can't go wrong.

Really dig the bassline on "The End". Great groove man.

Hey guys, finally got a video of my Euro 4lx going through my b3k. I think it's a pretty sick combination (I'm really proud of the tone on this one). A few mess-ups since my picking needs some work, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out. (WARNING- Djent/screamed vocal content). :bassist:

Thanks bunk! The buckeye has some great growl on that track for sure.

Yes, The End's line was sweet and it sounded killer. I was wondering which bass you used, Lee. Now I know.

B3K and Spector. Quite the combo! Loved the part around 2:50. Your picking sounded good to me.
