Nice Lee! Looks like that bridge has intonation screws too. How are you liking it?

I am really, really liking it. Not only does the look do it for me but it plays extremely well. I've spent the past 3 days A/B'ing the Tone Pump vs. the US9V and have the TP dialed. Glad I spent time to do that. Think I'm going to leave it in there for a time or two.

Donny, that's the venerable 800RB. Love that amp. Right Adam?

I was right! 800rb....white Spector! Hey Lee....tone pump? Isn't that almost sacrilege when you are one of the biggest us9v supporter I know? J/k. Lol

Haha, no I don't think so. I still loooove the 9V to pieces. I've had the TP before but with this bass I really wanted to spend some time and dissect that tone. It's taken a lot of fiddling but, IMO, I have it remarkably close. A lot closer than I did with my last EuroLX. I'm pretty psyched! I'm especially fired up to have another white Spector in the stable. All is right with the world again. ;) The real test will come Sunday at band practice. That always separates the men from the boys!

Oh NO!:scowl: Was it packed in a HSC? So Sorry brother. :(

It was boxed and packed well, I've gotten at least a dozen basses shipped to me personally not shipped in a HSC and that includes 5 or 6 I've gotten direct from PJ and the gang at Spector without incident, including my Legend 4X that I just got in April. I've shipped basses all over the world both in cases and not, and have never had this happen to me personally, but apparently my luck ran out. I think the driver dropped it, personally, he was pretty meek when I made him pull it off the truck after my 2 day ordeal of chasing the damn thing.
I've shipped and sold at least a dozen basses (mostly Spectors) to TB folk in the mid to late 2000's without incident as well as tons more on eBay to all over the world, so apparently the shipping gods decided that I too shall suffer. It sucks, but I've decided that this just means I can go bass shopping when I hit Vegas next month - one way or another I'll have my money back from the Rex by then.

Is the tonepump set between the 50-60% mark to get close to the Haz sound?

But of course. ;) I'm kind of curious to see what turns up. There was only one picture that was way too dark in typical GC fashion. I have this paranoid fear that it's an ns2a with stickers, which will really piss me off. It was hard to tell with bridge so dark. Fingers crossed that it is what I think it is!

Sigh. 'Twas not to be. I stopped in today to grab my white Euro and I'm glad I opened it in the store. I sounded okay but was beat to ****. There were all kinds of gouges and scratches, which I probably could have lived with but there was a ton of yellowing all around front and back of the neck. There was also a pronounced bow in the neck. I really didn't want another project esp. one that would inevitably need a refin. You know when even the GC guy says Wow, that's pretty beat...

So I returned it on the spot. If it pops back up on the GC site for $599, avoid. :(
