I love this NS 2004. I wish I could get the sound to come across on my iPhone. Anyway...here she is... sorry for the sloppy time and that 6/4 bar to nowhere in there... was just wanking for a bit....

So for everyone drooling over the Euro8LX, what would you see yourself using it for? Special songs? Or as a main bass?

Every bass I've ordered so far I have a very specific use for, but if I got something like a 10-string, I'd really have to justify it with regular use.

Sounds cool man! I've been curious about picking up an ns2005- I just don't need another bass ATM (although that hasn't stopped me in the past...)

Love the tone I get out of my two oops well actually its one as of next monday. Love the necks too. But im glad ill have one in stable with the euro. My poor lite brite rebop wont get much use

It would def have a place in the studio and it wouldn't be my main bass but would have a regular showing for sure.

I have a 12 string (US Hamer Chapparell 12, think of the one Doug Pinnick used to use in King's X). It is thunderous, but I think I'd like the slightly more options you have playing wise of the 8 string. Playing the 12 requires you really play a certain way with the very tight string spacing and holding down 3 strings per note. I really think I could incorporate it into our original metal project. Plus, I'd love the mix of the Spector sound and an octave string instrument.

I've emailed PJ and Todd. If there is a way to order one, I'm in. :bassist:

Listen to some of John Paul Jones 10 string stuff on Them Crooked Vultures and his solo albums, really cool! May trigger some thought. Granted, you are in a 6 piece band with a HUGE sound, so it may not really be something you need. Of course "WANT" usually outweighs "NEED" on TalkBass every time!!!! :D :hiding:

Cool thanks for the info - I will check that out. Just trying to get a mental picture of what I could do with it. Outside of King's X and Galactic Cowboys I can't thinking of any other stuff I know that uses 8 or 12 string. I would likely use it more for my solo project, but I wouldn't rule out a DC song in the future that could employ it.

Does it stay in tune relatively well? If not, it's gotta be a HUGE pain in the butt. I bet it takes 20 minutes to tune that thing.
