The whole band plus a couple of customers kids on the congas![]()
Well, it looks like I have someone to trade my 35 dc for a 35 p.. So that will give me a p in the neck and a dc in bridge. This should totally rock \m/!.
In that picture, you guys look like the New Main Street Singers![]()

Please tell me somebody saw "A Mighty Wind" and gets that![]()
I was wondering how often we should treat our different neck boards, I know it will depend on use, humidity, etc. but on an average what would you think is best Patrick and/or Todd?
Ebony
Pau Ferro (This board will dry out also and Todd treated mine when he changed the strings)
Maple (Mine is coated but should it be treated with something or just cleaned?)

I'll be looking forward to hearing what you think. I'm considering the options to replace the HZ's in my Rex...
She plays better than ever! Here's a couple pictures I snapped out in the grass.

My Rex has DC's and a Tone Pump. I love it but I have no experience with the HZs

very cool bass... Eric is a cool guy, also he probably could take better pics of that toggle setup for the restore project...
Not sure if this was posted, but remember the NS-2A that went for over $2k? Well, it was relisted and a sold with best offer (don't know what it is)

I treat mine every time I change strings.
Ebony - Should be watched for dryness if you live in a place with low humidity.
Pau Ferro - I change strings every 3 months or so. It just depends on the time of year. Sometimes I can go without conditioning between string changes... winter time when it is dryer, I may condition it once a month. Regardless, like Todd, I make it part of my string changing regimen. I always clean and condition when I change strings.
Maple - If finished with the gloss finish (like the Black Pearl - it's got a coat of clear poly over it like the rest of the body) then just use the same wax/cleaners you use on the rest of the body.
If matte finished, Formby's lemon oil products work well.
It sold for $900. :O
