Honestly, Spector are the best for a reason.Glad you hear you're getting your bass back before the show.
I recently have gotten rid of all the pedals that I used to use. Sold them all (Aside from my custom ones) and am really loving the Spector straight through tone. I keep a fuzz around just for the For Whom the Bell Tolls intro. It's so much stress off when performing, I don't have to worry about switching or which pedal has batteries or a loose connection. Anyone else?
A very nice 2001 Spector Euro-4. The wood is fantastic. A couple of dings and the Spector bullet proof finish.
The neck shaved and the tedious process of finish removal. This stuff puts up a fight! I did the initial finish removal. When it came time to do the horns and contours, I turned it over to a pro. Chris Bavaria. Friend and finisher.
One of the most difficult things. Finding a Spector 9V circuit. Thanks Sam and Bassgiant!
Inspired by this Wenge neck NS-2
Finish line is in sight. The color coat.
Back at home ready to assemble. The solid brass bridge has been powder coated.
During final setup we find some high frets some low frets. A fret dressing would work, but you would have a situation where you would have to remove a lot of material from some frets to compensate for the low ones. Ah well in for a penny... Refret the whole deal! The end result is, essentially, a new bass. The neck has been refreted and PLEKed. The action is very low. Very, very low. No fret buzz. The HAZ circuit is the icing on the proverbial cake. It sounds like an ice cream sundae when you were a kid.
For Christmas I'm getting a lump of coal. I'm ok with that.

I want to, because I love the bass tone just into the amp, but I still run my pedal board and use it every set.Honestly, Spector are the best for a reason.

I really like all those voice clips (in English AND Spanish) over each song. It must have been a lot of work finding and piecing those into the songs.
If it were me, I would have tuned down a 5-er and played those bass lines an octave lower!
