I have a trade offer on my Sterling Musicman Ray35 for a Spector NS2000/5.

This is my second IN as I should have given the NS2A a little love.
I pulled it out of the case over the weekend and adjusted the truss (wanted it set to the same specification as the Ultraviolet, also wanted to see if the truss rod worked as I have never had to adjust it) but it has Spector strings on it versus the DR Lowrider mediums on the Ultraviolet so I ended up with it set back to .012"...the neck on this bass is sweet! I also adjusted the Black Cherry NS2 back to .012" because of the Ernie Ball strings and played it yesterday using the SansAmp Para Driver running into the board and Aviom in ear monitors, Spector heaven all weekend long!

I've never played a ray35 but I love my ns2000/5. Fast neck, tight string spacing, lots of punch.

To answer some questions first:

NS20005 has a 35" scale, I own one and it measures 17-1/2" from nut to 12th fret.

The NS-X had its own special bridge that fit with the shape of the pickguard, but it was bigger than existing Spector bridges so others would probably fit in the route but not match it.

It is, I waited a long time to find one for sale with the newer inlays and a natural finish (instead of the typical trans black or black cherry finishes) but the wait was worth it!

Not to mention I got a killer deal on it because of ebradfordrich's Spector Club pricing!
