I play steel round wounds exclusively, so the Hard Rockin' Steels are my strings of choice. They have several other flavors as well.
I'm a lot pickier than you are, based on your preferences; I'm curious to hear what you think about LaBellas. They raised the bar for me in a big way.

In with a refin 2001 Euro -4 9V circuit. A refin 2011 Forte4 9V circuit. And the one that's currently getting all the attention from me. 2013 NS-2 J/J with Leo Quan bridge. 9V circuit goes without saying on an NS-2. Though there are a few great players that prefer other circuits.

There are a LOT of great basses in this club...but I think this collection definitely takes the cake :bassist:

From one NS-4 player to another, I highly recommend Prosteels - they really brought my NS-4 to life! :bassist:

I've never tried the LaBellas or the Hard Rockin' Steels - I may have to give 'em a spin....

Regarding Lee's bass.

I just remembered I had a photo of it when I visited the Woodstock shop back in June.

Stuart commented how it was one of the nicest Walnut Burl pieces he has ever seen.

The photo below proves what a true artist he is.

Amazing to see how the photo on the left turned into the photo on the right.

Weird.
Got a fretless Rebop neck from ebradfordrich.
Passed on the black Gotoh GB7's he had as he said the headstock would need to be reamed as they were too big, making me think the gold Schallers M4's I already had would fit.

The M4's are too loose...
but a black GB7 off the ReBop MM I just got from yeldarb69 fit it perfectly!
So...thinking ebradfordrich may have missed something, I bought a set of gold GB7's.....and they are too big (slightly)!?!

I'm a little confused here. :confused:
Anyone dealt with this?
