I have never tried the LaBella Deep Talkin' flats, but their other strings are top-notch. I know a ton of pro musicians use them, and I firmly believe that the reliability/longevity is the main reason for that. (Knocking on wood) I have NEVER broken one, and I have broken at least one of EVERY other brand out there. They sound good for a LONG time; I have to remind myself to change them at least once a year, or I notice fret marks on them when the light hits the strings just right, and I make a note to buy more.
I get the Hard Rockin' Steels for $24 - $30 set, depending if it's 4- or 5-string set. Also, The HRS M70 Rounds are heavier gauge for down-tuning (DGCF or BEAD). I've done it all with LaBella strings, and they haven't let me down.

I guess I will buy a set of Labella's to try after Christmas Holidays then. Thanks! :) Do you order your strings thru BSO?

PJ assisted me in digging her up in Texas! I called this morning and struck a deal! I had wanted black hardware and possibly a detuner on the E but it was a great deal and I jumped. Neck though US, but you guys probably already figured that out!! My first Spector.

The 2 volumes were more common I believe, but so far there's been little to no info from the professionals as to why some were vol/vol and some were vol/blend.

Personally I have 3 of these circuits, one remains stock in an NS-2A (vol-vol), I installed another in an NS20004 I received with no electronics or pickups (vol-vol) and one I installed in a Rebop that I had to route to fit (vol-blend).

I wish they were all vol-blend, but its still a great circuit and hard to come by so I took them where I could find them regardless of knob configuration

Everytime I think I've found a better deal for my strings online, I go back to BSO and realize they're better. They're good for things other than strings too. I got a great deal on a Tone Hammer 500 for example.

Jason is great, and if you contact him and let him know your a TB'er you get VIP status and better prices on most things.
