I bought a fully BAS refurbished Trace elliot gp7/15 combo from BAS for about 300 bucks last year, and it's the best money I've ever spent! I bought it for home use but it actually gets used a large portion of the time over my big rig at band practices and small gigs!

The NS2A has been with me for over 20 years. I said before that the neck has never moved so I have never had to adjust the relief...but...I was playing around and wanted to see if it would move so I set it at .010" like the Ultraviolet NS2, this caused the frets to ring out so I placed it back to its original position of .014" and put some Spector strings on it. I have only played it twice in the last 7 months and the neck profile is the Kramer version everyone talks about.

Now that I'm done rambling about my attachment to the NS2A....I don't need to sell it but think that maybe it might be time to let it move, if I started getting offers I think I might be TORN about letting it go but you can send a PM about your interest and all I can do is give it some serious thought.

I just transfer my Peavey from home, practice, or to a gig. I have 2 1820 cabinets and have one at home and one in the trailer for gig's, I also have a 4x12 cabinet at our practice room...plug and go keeping the same sound except when I use the 4x12 cabinet.

I have a Fender 60b bass amp I bought from my neighbor for $50. It's pretty good (in a cheap way). I also use the apogee Jam and GK bass amp app with phones.

I think a great bass practice amp is the GK MB amps. You could get a 112 or 110 version. They are pricey for a practice amp but they sound great....

The neck on my NS2a moves around a lot. I have to adjust it every 2 or three months. It goes from great to unplayable. I think the neck is thinner than most NS2As.

I've thought about selling it since I got my Forte but I still like it.

Whats the deal on these pickups? Are they Aggies?Are they passive? How to they sound compared to the EMGs?What preamp is used in this bass?

Anybody who happens to be over at NAMM today/tomorrow...do you think you could get a closeup of this? :eyebrow: From a distance, that sure looks like a chromed 5er euro bridge....just wondering if that was a one-off or this might be something that could be sourced as a part.

I've been very pleased with my GK MB210 combo for the last couple of years. Ultra light , plenty loud, aux jack for jammin with a CD or iPad. Kind of on the Ampeg end of the tone spectrum.

I don't own one but was also equally impressed with a Markbass 12 compact combo (don't recall the actual model number) but at $900 it seemed pricey for a 12 inch practice combo.

Lately I've been using my old Musicman HD150 amp with a Bergantino HT322 cab for practice and it really rocks with my Euro LX4. It's close to an old Fender or Sunn tube amp sound and really brings out the best in a nontrim tone pump. Plays very well with my NS2J that has the Aggie OBP-3 amp and my Rex5 with the BT preamp.

That is a limited run 34" 5-string with JJ pickups and chrome hardware available only in Trans. Blue.
