Hey Donny, I have a bunch of practice amps (amp junkie from way back) but you mentioned staying inspired. You might wanna try the TC Electronic BH250. All the goods a practice rig needs (aux in, headphone jack) and the ultra cool toneprint function. It's pretty cool beaming patches from your phone through your bass pickups to your amp....and there's a bunch of them. It's a pretty old school tone and can get pretty loud (albeit a tad compressed) at 4 ohms so you can throw it in your gig bag for a back up at gigs. AND it's pretty cheap.

I keep my hired gun rig at home (my main rig stays at the rehearsal room TCE RH750 + 2 x DB212). It's a TCE RH450 + GK 210 MBE II + GK 115 MBE II. But due to health issues with my wife I have to practice silently so the RH450 comes out and I plug my headphones (Sony MDR-7506) into it along with either my GB-10 or my laptop. Work VERY well, and sounds great! I hear nuances in my playing that get lost in a rig. :bassist:

I have heard that they move around yet don't know why I have never had that problem, I put it in the case for a long time while I was playing my Fender basses and when I pulled it out it was still in tune....

I think this one was posted on the Spector facebook page saying it was active aggies with the 9V.

Yep, Aguilar HOT P and HC J pickups, all passive, connected to the 9V HAZ; it sounds very similar to the old Brooklyn models with the Dimarzios, warmer and a bit darker with more mids than the EMGs.

I use Markbass MicroMark801. Peretty damn powerful for it's size (around 12 lbs) [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
I did not like its 6" version but this one with 8" makes a big difference. Headphone and aux, and can also be used with any 8 Ohm extension cabinet to add some bottom. Here it sits on top of my NY604 cab.

I've actually been using my MarkBass 801 and extending it to the Ampeg Micro-CL 2x10 cab. Insane volume and tone. Then I'm using my Zoom B-3 and can switch it between Hartke and Ampeg simulations with all kinds of effects. Then, add some Darkglass B3K and I have a perfect (for me) home bass rig.

My GK MB112-II is too much for my house (wife) to handle. Probably going to sell it.

True about volume! And I add my B3K anywhere now, it's just an "always on" pedal now. Love it with MarkBass clear tone to add some grit.

Well guys, I sold Ho's forte to a fellow TBer.
so it's in good hands and he loves Spectors. So, as fast as I joined the club...I left the club.... back to Alembic world...
The bass played awesome its just that those EMG pickups were plain as day to me....I like more throaty, mid, sound I guess....
