Here is a beauty we just received today. This was a custom order built for use in the Aguilar booth at Winter NAMM 2014 in Anaheim, CA. As most of you guys know, the Rebop MM is only available in trans. blue with an EMG MM style pickup. This one is trans. red with an Aguilar MM style pickup and Aguilar OBP-2 preamp. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or check it out on the Guitar House site at: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

This begs to question: "Is Spector gravitating away from EMG & toward Aguilar as a main supplier?" So many gorgeous basses coming out in the last year are using Aggie electronics instead of EMG.

...a few threads ago there was a form going around to log measurements of the bass neck, I think Patrick shared this form.

Does anyone have a copy that I can get or a link to the post so I can download it?? I plan on getting the measurements of each tonight and would like to be able to keep track of the measurements!.

Is this what you're looking for?

Arrrrg - that red Euro MM is giving me major major GAS!

I just keep telling myself - there's no more room for another bass, no more room, no, none. Then I look at my practice space...

...and I mutter under my breath, dammit I'll make room!

Nice looking room! Hey Gbass how do you like your Berg NV610? Picking one up on Sunday to go with my SVT and DB751.

Thanks on the room.
You're gonna love the Berg. It's a Fridge killer!
When paired with my SVT-VR it belts out the lows and has tons of punch its probably one of the more Ampeg sounding cabs from Bergantino.
At one time I had it paired with an Aggie DB750 and that sounded fantastic also. I found the Aggie/Berg combo to be a little darker and more wooly on the bottom end so I switched to the SVT and that tightened things up nicely. The Berg plays well with SS or Tubes so no concerns there and it's a breeze to load in and out - easier than most 410 cabs I've used.
The only negative I've had so far on the SVT/Berg combo is with my Euro 4LX with the non trim tone pump. It was just too much top end no matter how I set the guitar or amp. I found my Musicman HD150/Berg combo to be a better match for that bass. But all my other Spectors and other basses really shine with the SVT/Berg setup.

I take it as they are offering more pickup options in the basses they produce. For the longest time they had EMG's in pretty much everything but now they are offering something different which I think is great.

Really wish I wasn't in a tiny two bedroom apartment or I would have a set up like that! My dream is to have a house and one large room dedicated to everything music. Wall o Bass, guitars, drum set. Gotta dream big right?!?

Well, after a week or two in the classifieds, I have stumbled on a Spector Legend classic Six to feed my curiousity for the Six string world. Any one have experience with these? Obvious not a Euro or a Forte, but how do they compare with others in its price range?

Sure there is! Just ditch the Thumb!

Notice since I got the Spectors the Thumb has been bumped to the far corner of the room. for those of us with kids it kinda looks like its in "time out" or for those of you that may be Hockey fans, he's in the penalty box. :smug:

Actually I love the way it plays and sounds so its a keeper.
