Here was a sweet eBay deal I thought and should've bid on for the price and flipped it. :ninja: it sold for 133.50!!! Spector Performer 4 in excellent condition with a crate B20 XL, bass stand, a bass help book W/CD. Could've split it up on CL.

Good catch, however, that almost has to mean it's a Euro4 or a Euro 4 LX as they started using that shiny polished style bridge in 2001 or 2002. It's the same bridge my Euro and Euro LX have.

I've seen other Euro's and LX's finished like this.

Wow! I've got to pay more attention to my gear. My Euro4 does have the matte finish bridge.
This isn't a big shocker as it was 2001 or 2002 when the shiny bridge came in and mine is an early (NB0508), first year Euro4.

Indeed. That bridge is plenty shiny. For comparison, my CR5FM next to my Euro 4 which is a dead match for the one in the auction:

Doesn't have "Spector" stamped into the bottom edge of the bridge either, but my green early Euro actually had a matte bridge on it as well... they weren't shy about using all of the parts leftover following transitions :)

yes it's always best to check out a used bass before purchasing.

via the auction pics, at a glance it looks like an NS-2A with
added crown inlays. I also do not see any normal signs of USA NS-2
including the Korean sized black bridge.

unless they can prove the bass to be USA NS-2 I am going to suggest
that it's Korean NS-2A....modified of course: pickups, circuit, pots,
mini switch...

LOL, ya, no, it's not Ray Way, lol.

Yes, I emailed him via my eBay account several times over the listing time.
I'm trying to get to the bottom of the quandary...
NS-2A or NS-2not, THAT is the question." :D

I mentioned that several people were watching/talking about it and that no one believes it's an NS-2 and only a few think it's an NS-2A and even as an NS-2A it generally averages 350-600 used in original configuration. Ya, I know, some paid more, I paid 275.00 for my black one.
Also, that since it's modified, it's been devalued with the loss of the Spector electronics, EMG pups, and off center inlay job to mention just a few and that it may very well be one of the many bootleg copies (as mentioned by a well known Spectormaniac - OOH, good User Name LOL) with the black bridge being the wrong size for a USA model, as well. He did say it says "Spector ?" on the bridge.
Why the he included a "?" I don't know. Either it says Spector or it doesn't.
Anyways, I won't be bidding on it myself.:)
