Great sounclips Lima!
You can totally hear the differences, yet i loved the sound of each one of these spectors![]()
Lima... the sounds clips.... Very nice! Thank you for making the effort to share!
I can hear the differences in each bass. The Rebop DOES sound deeper and heavier than the others.... I kinda like it.
Your NS-2JA-R sounds a lot like my NS-2J, even with different hardware and electronics, btw. I guess that depends on my settings as well but, that just goes to show the wide tonal range of a SPECTOR bass, no?
And ... I could swear you're playing my NS-2A, though....![]()

Thanks guys,
Regarding the ReBop. I just put Dr-Hi-Beams which are naturally very bright. (notice the treble is at 0%)
When connected to an amp the ReBop is either
Too thin Or it distorts the speaker when I boost the bass. (Tonepump doesnt have the output trim)
But through the PC it came across as a really clear heavy bottom.
Also of the 5, the ReBop, for me, has the fastest neck.
Regarding the sound of the NS2JAR compared to your NS2J I guess that proves that just the style of pickup and placement on the body has a lot to do with the final tone produced.
Over the next week I am going to do some more clips doing a comparison with adjusting the P/Us and Tone controls on each. Wait to you hear the range on the NS-2A, 18V EMG BTS circuit.

I would KILL to have an emerald green Euro 5, I hate it when people butcher works of art so callously.
