Did he give you the ser#? That could definatly help in ID'ing it.
Will he be sending pics or is this someone close to you, that you would be able to go check it out?

If you have the $$ and it is a good shape NS-2, you dont want to miss out on that deal. What color is it?

Thats a good sign, I dont think they made NS-2A's in a natural color.

Does it have the Crown inlays or the dot inlays?

So without the inlays it would appear to be the NS-2O.
Its not a NS-2A for sure
Wow....that Maple wood really looks amazing. :hyper:

I would guess that could easily sell for 2K+ USD.

I think you need to get there tomorrow before one of USA Spector club members gets so much GAS that they end up coming up to Vancouver to buy it. lol :D

It looks to be an NS2O. The "O" standing for Oil. These are similar to the Forte series in that they are a no frills USA bass. i love mine and that is certainly a nice price for one.

No Problem, I just looked back at the Craigslist ad. Where the photos at the bottom of the ad the whole time and I didn't scroll down..
Duh I feel stupid.. :hiding:
Could have made it alot easier....

I knew I saw your name and avatar before. I remember seeing your 5 string in the classified section. I do have 5 GAS now but I am wiped out of $. Good luck with the NS-2O.

Being that the US and Canadian dollar are almost at the same amount... $1350 Canadian = $1364 US... it's a great deal.

Lima is right... it's an NS-2O - Oil Finish. The ad is wrong. It's not curly maple. It's just highly figured Quilt.

Other than a gloss finish and neck inlays... it's an NS-2. It's a great deal. Get it if you can.

Cool! So the electronics in it are the same as any NS2?? It says it has Hazlab preamp...?

My understanding was that they had the Hazlab until towards the end of production and then had the same Hazlab copy that was in the NS-2A's. I have one and I haven't checked which is in it, but it holds up to my US NS-2. In fact every time I play it, someone in the band comments how great it sounds.

Great bass!
