Ok i know you guys are sick of me posting mixes by now haha!

Last one i promise. I made a bit more space for the bass to cut through in the mids some and eq'd the guitars a bit differently as well. Hope you guys enjoy! Promise to be the last one as well. LOL!

Thanks guys!!! I very much appreciate the input and compliments! As soon as i get my instrumental album done i plan on giving it away for free (maybe a donation button for those who would like to). I just need more hours in the day to work on it haha!

I use Cubase 6 as my DAW. I program all the drums with Toontrack Superior 2.0, and All guitars and bass tracks are ran direct through my Axe Fx Ultra for my tones. I wish i could mic stuff, but my neighbors would kill me haha! Plus my studio is a 18 x 13 foot room in the garage that has a window AC unit (the family we bought that house was using the room as one of their kids rooms), so i don't have the room really for mic drums and cabs and what not.

I know its off topic but now I see how you created such a great drum track. I just checked out the Toontrack Superior 2.0 website. That is the first Non-Spector item that gave me GAS in the past few months. :D

Off the topic as well, but it's amazing. I have all of the SDX packs as well. I can play drums, but like i said don't have the mics or space to record them, so Toontrack is perfect for me and sounds awesome!!!

Totally worth the $$$ in my opinion!

Question for all you guys.

I'm hoping that my Spector from JPSbassist will be here Friday. I'm sure if there are any other midwest bassist's on here, you know that there is a ridiculous heatwave here. It about mid 90's with plenty of humidity. Heat index has been anywhere form 100-115 the last 2 weeks. Usually UPS and Fedex bring stuff around 4 to my house, and I have to be at a hot outdoor gig at 5 on Friday. Should I worry about the bass being exposed to a lot of heat during shipping, and then putting it through a hot 4-hour show Friday night? The show is a on a riverfront so it will somewhat cooler, and we don't start till 7PM, so we get to play through sunset, so it will cool off nicely by the time we finish the show that night.

Man, glad everyone is doing good :), lots of problems with this bunch.

I am thinking if we can prove the healing power of Spector Basses (Think of me talking in a southern preacher's voice) maybe we can convince our insurance companies for the need to buy us each a USA ns-2 (For medical reasons...:hiding:)

Or if that doesn't work, you would think with all the medical bills from the Spector forum we could pull some kind of insurance fraud and get each of us a new NS-2! :ninja:

JPS can be our "Medical Liaison" to Dr. Stewart Spector.

I notice that the newer Euro5LX has EMG40-TW pickup, instead of the DCs that the older ones have. In dual coil mode, how do they sound different? I've always liked a fuller and warmer sound, with a more natural top and less hype. I don't mind the 40DCs in my Euro5, but they can sound/feel a bit thin and hyped.

So I'm wondering if swapping them out for a set of TWs would be a good choice. I do love the growl and bite of of my bass, but I really feel like it could use a little more upper-midrange clarity and warmth. It can sound a bit choked, but with a razor sharp top end.

Now, I will say that it records beautifully! If I have to keep the DCs to record like that, I'll keep the DCs and use it as a recording bass.

On a related note, how would an EMG preamp compare to the TonePump? I'm considering swapping in an EMG 3-band in place of the TonePump if it will still give me the "Spector Sound", but with more versatility. And 18V is always welcome...

I can see it now bringing my script to Walgreens to fill a Spector NS-2 Redwood Burl Wings Matte Finish
2-3 hours a day Dispense as written. :bassist: :eek:
