Hope the sound quality is not as horrible as it sounds on my laptop!

Spector Forte 4 played through an Ashdown Evo 900 hear and Ashdown ABM 810.
First part (intro to my song called "Vigilance") played clean, then with the MXR M80 DI engaged,
Then some doodling around with the MXR Envelope Filter, And finally Boss BF-3 Flanger.

Wow, your that Forte is amazing. It seems like a simple yet sublty powerful bass. Your slap technique is awesome, would you care to break down some of the stuff you did in this video?

Thank you!

Well, the first 50 seconds is taken from a track I wrote just to demonstrate the clean tone and the tone I get with the M80 DI.

The rest....I let my fingers do the walking...I really don't have any technical explanation as to what I am doing if that's what you meant:hmm: sorry. It was just some doodling around to express the might of this bass in a few different forms.

Well how does it feel to you? i live in canada(toronto) so there is nothing around here...sadly...

I just recently picked up a Spector Euro LX5, and Ive gotta say, I'm very happy with this bass. My main bass before the Spector was an Ibanez SRX 500, it had a real thin neck. Obviously the Spectors neck is a little wider due to the extra string, but I find the neck to be very comfy to play. The tone is great, sustain is great, the bass looks killer (I got mine in Blue Stain). I'd recommend it in a heart beat to anyone looking for a good 5er.

Dang, I was hoping you could teach me the secret to those elusive/awesome slap triplets you were pulling off. Haha.

Really awesome video nonetheless!

DR low Riders!:D After trying lots and I mean LOTS of strings over the past year alone....These ones do it for me.
2nd favourite were the Spector Nickel strings.

Did you try the DR BB's? I'm thinking about it. Normally GHS Precision SS FW does it for me.

Seventh...that's an awesome mix! What pre is in your Forte, Aguilar?

Hey , Can anyone give me some recommendation on Spector Euro 5lx series?

i wonder about the colors n top, does having those birdeye poplar really make a different to the tone? or sticking with Maple top is a good idea?

Try listening to various SPECTOR Euro 5LX on YouTube. I know there's a Burl popular 5LX for sure and I'm sure you'll find all that you'll want.

WOW! Just WOW! I was trying to convince myself that I really don't need an American Spector since I just jam at home but after seeing that, I need to get one. Amazing playing too. I got a bit of a Justin Chancellor vibe from part of that....maybe when you were using the Flanger.

and you don't look anything like Fred Sanford.....

That is so funny because I said the exact same thing to myself when I watched the video :)
