As awesome as the NS bass is, I think I really want a Coda one day. An orange 5er with a matching headstock. :)

Hibeams are round core (less tension) and low riders are hex core (higher tension). I've found hibeams to be brighter IME as well. I like hibeams the best.

Gotta try a set of those again, I though they were nickel for some reason.... ( old F^^&ers disease...) The sun beams are nickel Correct? I never found the hi beams to feel loose, but it's always good to try stuff again :) lol

Yup, Jarrod's bass is the same color NS-2A coming to you.

Here is a link to the place that sells the sticker inlays.

WOW! Just WOW! I was trying to convince myself that I really don't need an American Spector since I just jam at home but after seeing that, I need to get one. Amazing playing too. I got a bit of a Justin Chancellor vibe from part of that....maybe when you were using the Flanger.

That is so funny because I said the exact same thing to myself when I watched the video :)

Thanks man! Justin Chancellor is one of my top favourites!!!
How is jamming only at home an excuse NOT to get a US Spector??
Even if it is just you, it FEELS good!!! :D I'm not in a band either.

Not to be lazy and not go look it up, but what is the main differences in hi beams and low riders? Actual differences and you opinion?

I found that with the combination of wood type, pickups and Brass nut, the Hi-Beams were too bright sounding for this bass specifically. That's why I like the Lo-Riders instead.
But on a different bass....may sound and feel different. It's pretty subjective to your ear. Try a bunch.

Chris,
The Hi Beams are brighter, the Lo-Riders will give you more low end and the tension tighter for sure.

Ice sent me this comparison of DR strings.
Check out this link,

They have sound clips of all the DR strings so you can get an idea on the different sounds from each.

I just found this review from the same site on the Spector Euro LX series.

Has sounds clips too :hyper:

As a Euro 4 LX owner I think its right on and the sound clips are very acurate also. :bassist:

So this is a great resource for those interested in getting a Euro LX series in the future. :bassist:
