On the whole Spector vs. Warwick issue:

If you're a Spector fan then you are doing everything you can by supporting the company by buying, using, and promoting their basses. Warwick makes a good product and clearly their inspiration for their Streamer line was derived from the Spector NS bass. No need to hate on Warwick owners though. They themselves have done nothing wrong. They are buying a product that they think works for them and if we are jerks it doesn't make Spector look any better. If anything it makes Spector players look like @$$ hats. I myself don't like to look like an @$$ hat.

If you don't wanna support Warwick then don't purchase their basses, but theirs no need to start bickering between Warwick players and Spector players.

And remember guys Imitation is the biggest form of flattery.

There are quite a bit of bands that are going to be there. Linkin Park was headlining, but i guess they cancelled their tour due to their singer needing surgery on his shoulder or something

Fair enough. I never thought the majority of it was ever really serious, but I've read some heated debates on other forums. It depends on the people involved in said debates how serious they can get (IMO)

I tell ya what...the bashing has to stop some where and I promise to stop bashing WW (even though it was only in fun). I believe every make of bass has their speciality.

Hi. New here in this thread. I was actually thinking of saving up for a warwick but after reading reviews I have now changed my mind. I have decided to save up for either a Spector Euro or Spector Legend. Seems like amazing basses for the price.

Hi. New here in this thread. I was actually thinking of saving up for a warwick but after reading reviews I have now changed my mind. I have decided to save up for either a Spector Euro or Spector Legend. Seems like amazing basses for the price.

Welcome to the best bass club in this universe! I've had both of those basses...it depends what you prefer in tonal...it's a personal preference...I'd go with the Euro if you like long sustainability( neck-thru), work horse of loud raw power with a growl, adjustable pre-amp, and better value. It'll have more craftsmanship IMHO.

I really like Spector an you seem to be a really nice bunch of people.
I have found 2 cheap legends and one euro but right now I just can't get the funds for it unfortenately. I wish I could get it right now though. But my squier will have to do for some time.

"Brownie" my Rebop, is in the shop becoming "The Ghost" (Lexus pearl white / black hardware) . I'm still GAS ing for a 5 though. The more I play my NS2000 the more I like it. I have seen some nice 2000's for good prices and a few Rex's for good deals too. I'm sooooo torn...... still eyeing for a euro though.....

There's a euro for sale for about 850 dollars that I found. Would so like it but just can't afford it because I have been sick for a long time and now just started my own business.
But the doctors said I wouldn't be able to play again due to my sickness and my fingers didn't work as they should. But I have trained to play again. I have to be happy with that for now.

That's what I did also...still have my Legend 4, ole reliable, it has a very nice tone, a bit of a mids growl. I've owned 6 SPECTORS so far...as you'll find out after your first SPECTOR you won't be able to stop with one! You'll want to know how each one feels and sounds to play.

Nothing wrong with the legends. Look for a "custom" , those are set neck or N/T. The classic are bolt on's and great also. Which ever flavor is more your thing.

You don't loose out on quality going for the less expensive line with Spector. The hardware and electronics change a bit (and are good right off the bat), but the Performer or Korean basses will stand right next to most basses in the $1500 category IMO. and maybe better a few of them. The Euro series will stand with any hand made custom instrument out there also. They are some of the best quality, sounding, playing basses you can buy. Period.

Agreed, the customs are REALLY nice. I would've gotten that one but A. I couldn't find one as it seems they don't produce them anymore (?) and 2. I found a great deal on the Rebop that I have now. Needless to say, I'm eventually going to buy myself a Euro that's gonna look amazing. Just have to make the more pressing purchases first (but really, who needs tuition? ).

I just got spoiled with the Ian Hill sig. and other Euros with the more curved bodies. I am enjoying playing my Legend 4 classic once again. It has a flavor all it's own.
