Agreed, the customs are REALLY nice. I would've gotten that one but A. I couldn't find one as it seems they don't produce them anymore (?) and 2. I found a great deal on the Rebop that I have now. Needless to say, I'm eventually going to buy myself a Euro that's gonna look amazing. Just have to make the more pressing purchases first (but really, who needs tuition? :ninja: ).

Two years ago when I bought my first SPECTOR off eBay, there didn't seem to be many others on there at the time. I didn't know about GC either. After I finally had seen my first Legend custom I thought, wow! That's nice!
A ReBop is a Euro...:eyebrow: but I understand what you mean. ;D

Did anyone speak with or ask for more pictures of the "custom" painted white euro 5 on guitar center ? Was just wondering if the paint is messed up or what's the deal . Kinda high for a refin .
He was suposed to speak with the owner and get back to me with an actual serial number and original location (pre re-paint) to determine the actual Czech model. That was back when it first came up in the thread. Haven't heard anything.

Eh? Where's the hate??

Carlos asked a question about the WW club and I deferred him to you since you do in fact frequent that forum as well as this one and would be able to answer his question.
I said nothing hateful nor disparaging ...

I know, was just kidding :)

Sorry for the terrible picture quality, but I've been promising pictures since Thursday. :D

Hopefully they all loaded, but the most important are the ones of the pre. I'm not sure if you can tell by the picture, but the pre is not a TonePump (2 sets of stacked pots and 2 singles; low mid/high mid, treble/bass, pickup pan, volume....six knobs total). My question is: what the heck is in my Rebop?! It's an 18V circuit but there aren't any labels or anything I could derive a company name from. I can't eveb move most of the stuff around minus one of the 9v batteries, but that's about it. Thanks for any enlightenment that may be shed on this matter!

Also, I came home to find my amp on my bed. So. F'in. Excited. Can't bust it out till tomorrow, but :D :D :D

They look like that.. And I was thinking so too... But "low mid/high mid" stacked doesn't match up?

The BQC is mid +/- and mid sweep?

Carlos,

One of your stacked pots should be
(Lower) Bass boost/cut
(Upper) Treble boost/cut

The 2nd stacked pot is probably
Mid Sweep/Mid +/-
(Lower) you select a freq range between 100hz and 1Khz.
(Upper) you boost/cut that freq that you just selected on the other knob

From my experience with mid sweeps on studio controls it can seem like a low mid/high mid control.

Nice Looking bass Carlos. I have the same EMG circuit in my NS-2A, sounds great.

Has anyone checked the Guitar Center used gear section lately? They seem to have some more Euro's and they have a Rebop for $449. The number is 106974329 but it doesn't have the crown inlays so could it be an older Rebop? It has the USA/Euro 5 string head stock so I think it must be an older one but you experts can tell me in a few seconds what model it is :)

Sweet bass Carlos. Man, that is awesome that you have a BQC installed in your Rebop. I definitely want to have one of those installed in my next Spector.

Not sure about age, but it's not a deluxe. That's why there aren't any inlays on it. AFAIK.

Sam,
You should change your name to: "Spector, the omniscient!"

I second this motion!

Wow, thanks a lot, you guys! I'm impressed, that took no time at all. Yeah, it makes sense that it's a freq. selector and boost/cut. I was just going off of what I heard ever since I got it which, by the way, was 'used' and didn't have any labels or anything, so I really had no idea. I had a feeling it was aftermarket, but I couldn't tell until I got involved here. Well, hopefully that was enough to get me a number (ahem, Trace), but i'll be sure to post more stuff of the bass in action/the finished stack/the Euro NT i'm planning on getting. Thanks again, fellow Spector afficionados.

It is a
ReBop5
2002 - 2004
European Alder
Bolt-On Neck with Pearl Dot Inlays
Passive EMG HZ™ Pickups
Active EQ - 9v (should be a BT)

That is a great price.
