I'm not really a fan of the inlays. I think the blood alone on the front would be cool with the spector logo on the back.

I'm actually going to be filming SPECTOR Endorsed Artist Nicki Tedesco (no relation to Tulip) next week as she demonstrates the various tones and compares them between a couple of different models.
Nicki owns The Strands LA, a state-of-the-art recording studio in LA... as well as been a seriously bad-rear-end bassist with chops.
So that'll be fun.

The sound samples are very helpful to most people on here.
Since most of the time they cant try out many of the models for themselves.
I absolutely concur.
I don't think the inlays in the front work,
but the inlays going down the spine is absolutely a brilliant, original marketing design.
I would like to see a white graphic, old style one with the simple "Spector. Basses built for a lifetime", maybe overlaying the old headstock outline that used to be on the back of the old shirt, on the front with the inlays also in white going down the back.
I'd buy five (XXL) of those right now!
I have to say (although this may not be possible) that I think I'd have a shirt with the writing removed. Just the inlays on the spine, the blood and the double S logo. That would sell it for me.

I saw that. I wish they would post a better picture of it though since it is really tough to get a good look at it from the one they have up now. It does have the crown inlays though so for that price, I think it is a good deal as long as it isn't totally beaten up.
The good thing about them also is you don't have to go there to buy it. I bought my Rebop 5 from the Knoxville Tennessee store and never went near the place. I called them up and bought it over the phone so they shipped it right to my house. You take a bit of a chance but they do have a return policy so you are covered by that.
I wonder what a Forte 5 would sound like with that Aguilar J2 setup...I actually like it a lot. It's got the comfort and feel of the USA NS-Bolts but those Aguilar pups are passive or active. So you can go completely passive on the tone circuit (or bypass it is a better description) and it has that old 1970's J sound... sort of noisy and gritty.
I love this bass actually. It's a Coda-4 in an NS-Body.
or PJ pups? I'm just not a big fan of the soaps sound in comparison... Anyone ever hear, sound wise, a SPECTOR with the J's or PJ? If you know of a video would you please post? Thank you!
