I think some of the early euro's were beefy. The neck on my 5 NSCR was definatly beefy. I didn't like it at first ( used to sdgr's at the time) but it was by far the most comfortable playing neck ever. The newer ones I have played are defiantly thinner.
I think there was some inconsistency in the euro's in the early years. At that time there were only 6-7 guys there and everything was basically made by hand I believe. I'm not sure how it it now but the basses I have seen in the last 10 years have been more consistent. No quality issues, just feel IMO. That happens though when everything is hand made. Makes you hold on to a special one when you get it. I had to let mine go

Is it a black box or a chip on the knob? my NS2000 had the EMG BT pre. There are diagrams on the spector site if that helps.

I believe it is the BT pre after opening up the back. The black wires have "EMG" written on them.
I thought it was the Tone Pump. Whoops!
EDIT: I need to get some screws for the cavity plate. I'm missing two, although one hole is messed up. I don't know if the guy I bought it from did it, or if it came that way from the factory. It looks like someone drilled the screw hole then moved the drill towards the cavity.
At the time, I thought my Euro 4 was pretty beefy. I used a MM Sterling neck for awhile, and it was thinner, but not as comfortable. Once I got the E4 back, I could certainly feel it being more comfortable than the MM despite it being a little thicker.
Can't say if this would be the beefiest neck but
My NS-2JAR has a much beefier neck then any of the other Spectors I have played. The nut is only 1.5 so its a nice combo of being beefy but not too wide at the top so its very fast and comfortable IMHO.
peledog should be able to confirm, he has one also.

I think my legend classic has a beefier neck than my Ian Hill but the IH is modeled after an NS2... my NS2J WAS a Tad beefier than my IH before the restoration. But mow it's pretty close to a tie with the Ian Hill.

JPS posted a neck dimension comparison chart a few weeks ago or so. Might be one or 2 "parts" back in 14 or 15....
The BT will say EMG BT on the board, they also have 2 dip switches on them so you can change the tone a bit. I Took the one out of my 2000 a few weeks ago. It was a little wierd if I remember right. Let me see what I can find. I wont be home till later tonight. It's a good sounding pre. Sounds really good with the HZ's IMO. My euro 5 had the same pre and it sounded pretty mean as well. Not as growly as the Haz, or as Hi Fi as the 18V or Aggi pre. But good, EMG style deep n clear. Sounded great with my Hartke.

4 and 5 string models. I don't' foresee a six anytime in my future. Right now I'm playing icebox's NS-95, and I like the neck on it a lot.
I'd like to get a four string next (I'm very happy with the NS-95), but I really don't like skinny necks. So I want a four banger that has as close to the NS-95 neck feel as possible.

My beefy necked legend 4 classic is still available, however ....
I'll crack 'er open again and have a look.
It's not a bad sounding bass by any means, I'm just curious to see what the big deal about the DCs are. I think it was JPS that told me they would definitely sound better, but a lot of people don't notice the difference. Curious to see how a BQC system would sound in it as well.
Okay, found the two dip switches. What sort of change would I notice from these? Would either give it a little more growl or some mids?
Yeah, I was just searching through Google and found that they change the treble. I don't have time tonight to play with them, but I'm doing more research to find out what gives more growl.
