Legend custom Q4 I would say. Never seen a 2000 with quilt like that. They had quilt but it was kinda funky, almost looked like burl.

The legend custom is / was the newer version of the NS 2000 I believe. Most of the customs had really nice tops.

I liked the JAR tone the best. Interesting. By the way, I'm posting from my iPhone, lying in a bed in the ER because I have a kidney stone. Lol! I was in so much pain earlier.

My wife gets those, man I feel for ya. She had a 13 mm last time. A stent & 4 lithotripsy's later.....

grendle, I first thought a Q4 also but those were bolt-ons I think.

I believe the Custom is the NT and the Classic is the bolt on. The Q denotes the quilt top and either 4/5/6 for strings. I'm sure someone will chime in and kick me in the pants though. Lol. There's a nice blk quilt top 4 and a blue quilt top 4 I've been looking at also........I just wanna buy them all! Lol

As far as I know though the NS2000 and legend custom series are the same bass. I love my NS2000, It's a killer.

Mine is the straight NS2000/4 I believe. No quilt , but a sweet deep blue.

It's a great bass. Plays great , sounds great. I upper mine with DC's and a 9v pre. It's a snarling beast.

Correct the Q4 was a bolt-on.

It appears there was first a non quilt version of the NS-2004
And do not say things like that about yourself.
When you own a Spector you can never suck.

Speaking of NS 2000 bodies, here's (an old picture of) my Q4:

That was when I first got it. It has matching strings and the saddles have been moved. It's usually in Drop B, but sometimes I tune it up to Drop C. Love this thing. Bought it for $400.

Damn it....I am GASing so bad for my NS2!!!!!! I am still waiting for the shop to get the type of Splated Maple I want. They have nothing like that at the moment.
ARRRGH the wait is painful! And what is even more painful is that I just spent $1600 on dental work!
