Very nice photos JPS! The more that I look at the Coda body and especially sitting next to a NS body, I can still see a lot of similarities in the two, curvatures and the horns. I'm not saying they're exact mind you but a lot of similarities. But NOT that headstock...:nono:

What's the deal with you always posting mobile links Ice? ;) If you are going to send links, can you at least access the full site from your phone? You do realize I am totally kidding I hope, LOL.

When I bought my Rebop from GC, I saw that and almost jumped on it but didn't really want a fretless at the time. I had a fretless and just sold it because I was not playing it as much as I really should but this looks to be a great deal.

LOL :p !!! That gives you something to do John! Hehehe:D
I loaded it from my iphone in the Dr's office while waiting for the Vampires to take a blood sample...then I went to the "Roast & Toast" to treat myself and they have WiFi so I broke out my MacBook and selected the GC link from my post and it went to it just fine. :confused: Must be a PC MS thing! :eyebrow::smug:
I've thought about trying a fretless someday...but now isn't the time even though at that price it's tempting...wrong color. Now if it was either Black or Blue that would be a different story!

The link does work, it just takes you to the mobile site. And yes, I tried it on my Macbook also just to make sure it wasn't just a PC thing :) Of course, I found out last night I need a new adapter for my Macbook though which really annoys me so I have to use it sparingly until I can run out and buy a new power plug. Good thing my Macbook has the 10 hour battery :D

Fretless is fun and I definitely will be buying another one someday but I didn't play the bass I had enough to justify keeping it. Plus, both of my Spector's are 35" scale and the fretless I had was 34" and didn't have lines on the fretboard so my intonation started to become off since I was used to stretching a bit more. You'd be surprised how much you rely on muscle memory when there are no lines on the neck even though there were dots on the side that helped out a bit.

There was a used NS-2A fretless a few weeks ago at GC for $350. That would have been a great one to grab, just couldn't do it at the time. I had a fretless for awhile, and wouldn't mind having one again, but don't want to pay alot for something I wouldn't play all the time.

Wow, I don't look at this club all weekend, and we go from just starting the new thread to being close to closing it! Spector fever is catchy!

I've been playing mostly Spectors for around 10 years now, and they are just now finally w/ Patrick's help doing the internet and live promotion they should have been doing a long time ago, IMO which seemingly is really paying off. The largest "bass club" is probably Sadowsky at 25 threads and maybe Lakland next but we're already almost at 18, for a relatively "under the radar" brand. Awesome. :cool:

Also, I have an early Euro 4 w/ NS-2A Haz-Labs clone pre incoming, blueburst to black fade. Looks awesome and I can't wait to get a P/J back in house. :bassist:

Edit: LOG is like at #52 so yeah ok, we do have a ways to catch up w/ those guys! :D

Thank you! And when I started with this forum it was Version 4 and was two years old. That was February 15th, 2010. My first post was photos of my NS-2A.

My second post was in response to someone liking the photos and was number 4500... I said:

"Thank you! I really appreciate it. I sent copies to PJ Rubal... I keep trying to talk him into sending me a USA NS2 for photo ops... It never hurts to try!
And when you can take two things you love, for me, Spector Basses and photography, and mix the two... it's a win-win.
Thanks again! I'm going to shoot photos of my Euro4 next."

In less than two years this forum has grown from 4,000 posts to 17,000 and PJ DID decide to work with me as a contract photographer and now I've shot over 75 beautiful USA SPECTOR basses and guitars. How cool is that?

And although I think the new branding efforts I've helped them with and the new website has been a big help with providing better quality information about SPECTOR (because the reason I approached them and offered to "come out of retirement" as a marketing guy was that there was so little out there about SPECTOR outside of Todd Cooke's SPECTORWorld website).

I wish I could take credit for this forum's growth, but honestly it's you guys who love SPECTOR basses and are passionate about what you play that have built this forum up. Guy like Phat and Bobunit, Bassboy, Thundar, DieChris, Marchone, XtraLongScale (and the list goes on) that were here from the first days of this forum are the pioneers. And all of you new guys are killin' it with your positive treatment of one-another, the respect you guys show new people.

I do think this is the nicest group of people on TB. Just visit the DB section and post ANYTHING and you'll see what I mean.

And I think that's what caused me to really want to offer my services as a consultant and help them with their website... they're great people who make great guitars for more great people. It's a magical combination.

You guys rock and please keep rockin! YOU are what makes this forum special. I'll be here... I'll always be here... My friendship with PJ and Stuart is set in stone... I love them as my friends and as people I sincerely admire. In almost 20 years of executive-level marketing and consulting work I've never met a better group of people and have never been more determined to seeing them succeed.

So let's continue to keep things moving forward with the kind and inclusive spirit that Stuart and PJ embrace when they meet people who are/are not familiar with their guitars.

And many great new things are coming from SPECTOR. If you want to think of this as a SPECTOR State of the Union... the State of SPECTOR is STRONG.

Hang in there and as new cool things come down the pipe I'll take killer photos of them so we can all have serious, terminal SPECTOR GAS.

In the batch of BPL basses I only played 4 of them. I didn't have time to do anything with the rest. LOL. So how sad is that? :crying:

It's a rough job taking photos for SPECTOR. But someone's got to do it. :D

This is mainly for LimaGuy, but also wanted to share with all of you

I had a guy round at my house earlier to do some minor electronic work on a couple of my basses.

When he caught sight of my NS-2A and handled it for a minute or so, he said it's the nicest looking and feeling bass he's ever seen in person.
