Hi Charlie,
i was going to reply to your other post yesterday.
Yes that's exactly what I did, turned the gain down on my 4LX. It's still a bit hot but definitely more manageable and I can still turn it down more if needed. That little adjuster knob is great addition. Hope this helps.

It's nice to know I can knock it back a bit and you've confirmed that for me now. All I need is for my special order Spector to arrive and then I'll be in there right away with the little screwdriver.

I just wanted to share a cool story about my Spector. I was recently in the studio recording a song with my neck thru NS-CR4. The song ends with a harmonic as the last note in the song. Well, the engineer kept the track recording until the note faded...except it didnt! After an eternity he just ended the track. Literally everyone in the control room was laughing their ass off at the sustain. A true spinal tap moment. LOVE SPECTOR!!!!

Years ago, when I was working in and out of Miami, there was a lefty Spector in a pawn shop that I tried to buy for the longest time (they wanted way too much and wouldn't budge.....it's probably still there :smug:).

I was digging the way Doug Pinnick was playing righty basses upside down at the time, so I was going to either play this lefty upside down, or use it to learn to practice a few tunes (maybe Beatles) left handed.

Oh well...:crying:

Yes. I had to do this with my new Euro4LX... it was way hot from the factory. Brent is totally correct that the little screwdriver from an eyeglass repair kit or a jeweler's screwdriver is perfect. I cut mine way back and it made a world of difference.

A lefty ReBop... looks awesome. Post photos when you get it.

I have the Synchronicity Concert in my DVD player in my office. I'll throw it on for background music sometimes when I'm working. Of course it's a great video because I was one of the people in the crowd when they filmed it.

Yes. Sting's NS-2 was wicked cool sounding. His tech Danny did an awesome job keeping that NS-2 in tip-top condition.
