That is absolutely amazing. Interesting tuning machines...
Doesn't have the locking bridge either... is that one a replacement?

The tuners are the "Tri-Wing" design that Gary Willis came up with. As I posted, he used to sell just the plastic "wing" to install on your tuners for a very reasonable price per set, but now that his signature bass is on the market I believe that Ibanez has put a halt to that.

The bridge is a modified Hipshot B-style, which Stuart uses on all of the USA bolt-on basses. I'm not sure as to what the difference is suppose to be, but it's stock

Well I know you got one. :) (I look at your collection and drool.) I was looking for the Euro Wimbish version to compare. Is the neck significantly thinner? I know the spacing at the nut is 1.50" vs. 1.64" but not sure if it'd matter a whole lot.

I didn't mean for that to come off snooty or snotty. I just meant out of the 2 I ended up with the walnut stain. At first I was suppose to receive the amber one but Doug decided he wanted one that looked like his original NS-2.

Glad you guys dig the SpectorWorld site. You can't tell that I LOVE these basses, can you?

Kind of a funny story. I just wanted one Spector all through the 80's but couldn't afford one as I was a full time player back then. Then in the early 90's after I received my first one I decided it was way too nice to take into clubs so I looked for a player instead of one in mint condition and well you can see what happened next. 84 USA Spector's later here I am.:help:

I know, I'm just yanking your chain!

I had my pride and joy Kramer Spector stolen in 1991. Being a poor soldier stationed in San Antonio, all of my money went to rent, car payment and gear. That one along with 2 NS-2A's were stolen along with every piece of equipment I owned including a '79 SVT. Being 21 at the time, I never thought of insurance since I just knew nothing could happen to it. Easily the best sounding Spector I've ever owned.

So I've been thinking of changind the pups in my Q6 Pro. Only problem is I don't know what to get. I'm looking for a powerful p-style pup for the neck, and something MM like for the bridge. My first thought for the neck is the EMG 45 P, mainly because it will fit perfectly in my bass. As far as the bridge pup, I just don't know. What pick up is there with a MM vibe that will fit where a 45 HZ does? I just don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is a pic for some context.

Both those pickups are the same size, if they appear to be different, it's just the angle. They are both 4.5 inches (115 mm) in width.
