So I could just get ahold of a new Spector USA bridge and it should pop in, then? I don't think they've been top-mounting them anytime lately.

I'd check your serial number with PJ to be absolutely sure.
But I would think that if you have the same style (the standard) USA bridge, then yeah... it should pop right in.
I think the USA bridges are like $200.00 which is a ton of money for a bridge.

I would agree. I'm going to order a replacement Euro4 bridge with the intonation screws when they come available.
It's always been the only beef I've had with my Spectors. And even now I've gotten used to dealing with the current bridges.
But I agree, this new intonation screw feature will take care of that.
With the introduction of the intonation screws on the USA bridge, do you know if Spector has or is going to change their setup specs? Specifically, the angle of the saddles. I know this is probably a question for PJ, but I thought I would ask.

Nice! My NS5H2 will have the Hipshot just b/c that's what that bass model comes stock with. I trust their judgment.
Well for a n00b at setting up and stuff like me, it makes it difficult!
Even my local tech hates working on that bridge!

Meatbag? I love it. I got called a "Spector fanboy living out some proxy butthurt victim complex" by an angry Warwick Streamer player this morning. But of course I also totally hijacked a WW thread in the process.
The issues with the bridge is two fold. You can find plenty of bridges that are heavier and would have the proper spacing. The Hipshot Type A is one (also used on USA Bolt-ons). The issue is the routed out recess the bridge fits into. Most aftermarket bridges are designed to sit flush on the surface of the bass.
The USA bridges, while heavier, are too large and most likely won't weigh enough to offset your neck dive issue.
I'd take your guitar to a luthier and see about having them punch some small holes in the back side (where the back strap lock is) and they can insert lead rods into it to give you the balance you are looking for. If done right, when they clear-finish back over the tiny hole(s) they drill, you won't even see it.
It will add weight to what is already a pretty heavy guitar. But that's going to be the less damaging. Mess up a bridge retro on a Spector and you've got an exensive paper-weight... door stopper... firewood... you get the picture.
Yeah the lead rodd idea sounds good, and my Spectors, whilst being beautiful instruments, aren't babied so I can take some marks that aren't painfully obvious.
Yeah it's quite neck heavy and the alder body and aluminium bridge aren't good counterweights. I'm a very skinny guy so my basses need to be balanced, which is why I love my Legend 4 so much it's pretty much perfect for me in every sense. Come for the 5 string Rebop... well it's not perfect hence with this problem I ask about. And yeah, I ain't touching that with no drills or nothing.:lol:

I actually took it from an old PS2 game, Destroy All Humans... and people always pay attention to it, I'm never sure why.
This is just an FYI for those thinking about switching out pickups in their beloved Spectors. If you decide to to so and you have a painted body, be sure to take your time when removing the pickup. The finish buildup in the pickup cavity can make it difficult to remove. Don't rush or suffer the fate of my NS5.... 
The paint chipped just below the treble side of the pickup. Nothing major (about the size of a pencil tip),but it's there. Needless to say my heart sank down to my feet.

Since we're talking about bridges, does anyone know where (if) I can find an aftermarket gold bridge that will fit in an NS-2A?

The answer is YES... it WILL fit.
I spoke with PJ about this alot. I wanted to take my NS-2A to gold hardware. The current Korean Spector bridges will fit the NS-2A. There may be a little bit of space (a millimeter or two at the most) around the outside of the new bridge, but the bolt patterns and everything else are the same.
The official line to me was if you want to change the bridge on your NS-2A, you have to go with the current Korean bridges.
But always feel free to triple check this info.

DUDE! A Spector is a Spector and that's one DARN nice looking bass you've got there!
Not a thing wrong with it. The Legends are very nice. When you look at other basses in the same price range... You've chosen wisely.
So remember the 2nd Rule of the Spector Club... "Thou Shalt Love Thy Own Spector"...
Which leads into the 3rd Rule... "Brag On Thy Spector With Vigor And Passion"
And DARNNIT you made me break the 4th Rule... "Never Talk About Spector Club."
(Watched part of the 10 Commandments earlier... caught some Fight Club a few minutes ago. They go well together I think...

its the best there is for its price.
but id love a peacock blue spector euro.
Bass Central have a Euro 4 Peacock Blue Spector that they claim is a one-off...
