Hi guys, I'm trying to upload a cuircut layout to the tonepump, which i just did, but having no success. I'll try again, but if their is no success, any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!:)

Someone needs to snatch this up! This is the bass I returned, it is in incredible shape (as long as it hasn't seen any floor wear) and plays like a dream it just has a very small ding on the upper horn. If they would have offered me this kind of deal I'd have kept it!

that's a sexy, sexy spector, and a great deal as well. if i had 450 quid i'd hit that right up.

I did the same a few weeks ago, check the "tonedump" thread in my sig :)

Has anyone upgraded their Legend with a better Preamp or electronics - not that it requires it - just curious if anyone has experimented?

i just saw one on ebay (i think) the other day that swapped out the EMG's for bartolinis. i want to say the changed the preamp as well but i can't remember what was put in.

anyways... here's mine, just got it today!:hyper:

Can you guys help me identify my new Spector? I believe it is an early Euro. The serial number isn't stamped into the wood like on the newer models. It's actually hand written on a small sticker in the control cavity. The bass was supposed to have a tone pump preamp, but I think it may have been switched out. The bass and treble controls have a center detent (cut/boost?) and the pan control is from EMG. Any ideas?

That, my friend, is a NS4CR (no FM). Came stock with EMG BTS preamp.

To everyone - look what I found on ebay:

And it looks like "Grateful's" Spector 5LX-EX is headed my way. I can't tell ya how much GAS it's already given me!

Well, I'm not sure if I qualify as a potential member since I don't actually own a Spector at the moment, but here's my old bass. It's a USA NS-5XL (SN #053), and I still regret selling it.

Figured I'd share this with my fellow Club members...

I know, $1500 is $1500 (especially with our fabulous economy these days :hmm:), but overall not a bad deal at all - a US made NS-2 (not a NS-4, as they have it listed) for less than a brand new Euro model. If you wanted to order this same model today from Spector, it'd run you $5,299.00!

Hopefully a TB'er will jump on it... :)

Plus, I'd like to know a little more about the Spector pictured behind the red one, too!

Anyone else think the inlays look like mother of pearl? And then wouldn't that make it a Euro? I dunno... It looks pretty beat up but I'd still love to own it! LOL

Nice bass Adam! I'm sure you're gonna love it. Spalted Maple........................................

Thanks! I got it in a trade for the Lakland plus a few bucks. I couldn't help myself LOL.

And here's another pic of my NS4CRFM. It's just so photogenic :D

It's Guitar Center, Adam... anything is possible! :D For that price it's definitely worth looking into though, IMO.

BTW - speaking of Euros...lovin' that 'Spalty' one of yours, as well as the flame on your 4-string!
Enjoy 'em both!

I might as well finally join this club, because I got my second Spector last week. :D

I had one Korean made Legend Custom (which has been my main "workhorse" bass for a while now) and now I finally have a Czech made too.

I'll insert a couple of pictures taken by the previous owner (who by the way gave me a very sweet deal for this bass). :)

I just bought this bass! I can't blieve this beauty is going to be mine. I love the look of spalted maple. This is my first exotic top bass, AND it's a spector to boot. I can't wait until it arrives. It should be here in about a week. I'm a little nervous about the 35" scale (I've had a few 35" scale basses before and found them uncomfortable to play). Based on the playability of my Euro 4-string, this thing should play like butter. I'll post some of my own pics when it gets here.
