I strung up the NS4CRFM 4-stringer as B-E-A-D the other day...you hear all that stuff about 35" scale being better for a low-B but I'll have to disagree. This is the tightest and most focused low-B I've ever heard. It feels like an E!

Question: Will the world implode if I put a set of Warwick EMPs on my Euro? Will Stuart Spector come to my house and slap me? Will Hans Peter personally remove the strings from my bass?:ninja:

I'm considering some coated strings, and a set of Elixers or DRs are over 40 quid, whereas the Warwicks are only around 30.

Just installed one of the East ACG preamps (a recreation of the Wal filter style preamp) in my Zebrawood Rebop 5.

http://www.bestbassgear.com/acg-eq-02-preamp.htm

Ordered it pre-wired from Brian at BestBassGear. The preamp is hard to explain. it uses variable filters instead of parametric style controls. Takes a bit of tweaking and then wow! The low end and high end work completely independent....dialing in the low end doesnt seem to effect the treble.

Very nice compliment to the Spector. Big low end, clear highs--nice scoop. Expensive but really has the Wal spirit.

IMO probably the best thing you could stick in a Spector. Gorgeous.

I'll try to record and post.

If you order it be sure to get the long barrel jack!

what's the point of PMing you if you already know i would like a number? and you even responded to my request about it in the specific thread that it pertains to. why not just respond with a number? makes no sense to me.....

PM'd anyways. happy?

It doesn't matter if it makes sense to you or not. The reason I asked for people to pm me is because I don't have the time to watch the thread like a hawk.

Then there's the way you "asked" for a number:

then spector ray needs to give me a number already....

and your subsequent post that I'm replying to now. This is a hell of a way to get into a club. So far, all 93 members have been great and have been cool when asking for a number and I hope that won't change with new members.

I'll think about your request.

That is TOO funny. I thought this was the Spector club, not the fight club. Seriously, Spector_Ray takes his time to look after the club. Asking that potential members PM him in order to get their numbers isn't that big a deal. Maybe you should try asking nicely if you want to join instead of questioning the rules that have already been established. Keep it up and the club will make you sell your Spector ... :ninja:

ACTUALLY, about 10 pages back i posted a picture of myself and my spector. a few posts later i realized no one had commented much or given out a number, so i post, "so i guess i need to ask for a number...?" no one responded in any way shape or form. didn't find it that big of a deal, didn't care much. then when browsing i see a post by you, then a response, and i respond sarcastically. now you're here watching the thread like a hawk in order to cut down a fellow spector owner in front of all his spector guru friends.

forget the number man. i didn't realize that grown men were so up tight about silly little internet forum clubs.

bring on the drama.
