Howdy all Spector players!
Well, it's been a couple of months since I got my Spector, and I thought I'd update the club with my thoughts now the "honeymoon" period is over.
It's love.
I've been playing a lot of basses for a while looking for one that really hit the mark with me and I think this is it. I guess this must be how Victor Wooten felt when he got his "#1" Fodera. I'd like to think in a few years this bass will still be with me like #1 and will be very well played by then.
At first I found the strap button placement a bit odd, but the adjustment to it was small and I must say that it really makes the right hand motion easier. Although I loved my Kubicki, it ended up not being as "me" as I hoped it would be (was still so good I kept it for a long time and I'd take another one without a thought!). But I feel like with Spector, I've finally found what I'm looking for. It's funny, I loved Spector for a long time and always said I'd have one, and look how I ended up.

He certainly does great work. I'm not too fond of sunburst finishes, but yours is top notch. I'm really jonesing for a Spector like this one. The burst is really subtle and evenly done.

I also picked up a pre-DXL ReBop 4-string with upgraded electronics - what it lacks in a Maple top and Crown Inlays it gains in an EMG DC/CS pickup & BTS preamp punch to the face.
Tomorrow, if the sun is out. Spector tends to make their high-gloss blues very dark: justlook at all the Euro neck-through "Blue Stain"/"Black and Blue" and the bursting is fairly subtle so I need a ton of both indoor an outdoor lightbut but I'll do my best. 
Got my new Spector Legened 4 in Black Cherry last week and I am over the moon. It really is a great Bass. I got the bass for £270 pound on the net from a Music store in Glasgow Uk.. They had reduced it from £395 because they can't sell them in the UK. People over here must be mad.
Here's a few of the new baby: Rebop DLX. It sounds pretty good when I'm just messing around in my bassment, but I'm going to take it to jam with a guy this afternoon. Hopefully I can get a new family shot this weekend too. I can't believe how light this thing is compared to my Euro neck-thru!
When FedEx shows up today, I'll have a Legend 5 Classic in Black Cherry. I'd MUCH rather have a USA bolt on.
