NBD Squier Classic Vibe Jazz
As I mentioned in that thread, I'm hopeful the 2019 range turn out to be nice players, the Daphne Blue jazz is causing GAS...
We shall see... I never had a Poplar body bass.

If ever I get myself another Squier Jazz bass, it's going to be another 70s VM. Those new CVs have crappier tuning machines and the same pups and an uglier looking body wood for 50 dollars more? Not so sure about that.
I will say the pups are at least the same, which mean they are great sounding pups.
They're exactly the same tuners you can buy on ebay for 15-20 USD. A downgrade from the VM bass tuning machines, which are the same ones you find on the MiMs.The 70s CV JB are getting a light maple body, like the 70s VM JB
The tuners we are unsure until we have them into our hands

The description says "nickel plated hardware", but the picture shows chrome. Might just be Fender's website not showing the correct tuners, we'll have to see.
The vintage threaded bridge is at least period correct - while I really like the high mass brass saddled one on the previous 60s Jazz, it doesn't scream 60s to me.
I've mostly skimmed this thread so I apologize if I missed it, but it appears the CV 70s P bass is going away? It's not shown on Fender's website but Sweetwater, etc still have them on their sites.
it is, grab one while you can
These Wilkinsons:Which ones would you recommand to replace?

Here is my previous Indonesian Squier deluxe strar in Daphne blue. It is a nice colour as Surf green and seafoam green.
Once aged, the green tint could make it better look .

I prefer the high-mass bridge with brass saddles on my Matt Freeman. Looks great and sounds great, no need to swap out.
