I want to get one of these for my girlfriend, she's petite and I found one at Sam Ash for only $100 used. Excellent condition. Worth it? Anything I should upgrade?

I got some LaBella Deep Talking Flats today and put them on the Jag SS. I like them, but I was very surprised that the G was almost too short for the bass. Maybe I can justify re-fitting the thing with some Sperzel tuners.
I don't follow.
When i put the new strings on my bass, I try to have more than one turn of the string around the tuner post, preferably three. The new G only had enough length to give a half wrap round the tuner post.

BTW - I have much love for DD's new Tapewounds on this bass.
Will never use anything else now. Fanfriggintastic.
I have to say I'm pretty amazed by:
- Citings of a used one in a store already
- A couple people here getting one, loving it, then flipping it already
Anybody flipping this bass will eventually regret it. This bass will Not be on the market long term, and it Definitely won't be on the market at this price point long term. We've had quite a gift with this one. If I had more spare cash, I'd be buying a spare.
At the risk of sounding totally ignorant, what does DD stand for?
I have no experience or knowledge that would allow me to evaluate what you say here. I have not been into bass playing long enough to see models pulled quickly, or see prices change. However, I can see where you could be right. Call it instinct, if you like.
I couldn't imagine selling mine. I have thought about selling my other basses to get another one of these, though.
I like how it sounds as it is. So has anyone who has heard it. Anyone who's played it has found that it is very comfortable to play. Therefore, I know it is a great bass. I do not have the knowledge to mod it.
I just don't know why I'd need two of them.
Maybe to try different strings on one?
Just guessing from context, but D'Addario?

Did you have to alter the bridge or nut very much?
