But I'll be happy if it just Stays on the market at this price - which is very, very unlikely.
This has been said on this thread many times. Why do people think the price will go up? My guess is the folks at Fender/Squier did a pretty thorough market analysis before launching this. Do they have a history of jacking up prices after a product launch? Given the fact that the price point is identical across their dealer network, my guess is that they've found the price point and will stay there.
I'd be curious to know what other people think. I don't watch the new bass market closely, but the Fender/Squier pricing strategy seems pretty stable to me. They might be messing with a good thing if they started getting cute about the price.
