I got a red Squier Affinity P-Bass as my first bass and it's now covered in reflective tape mirrors and bike reflectors has a Badass II bridge and Seymour Duncan Quarter-Pounder Pickups, I'm getting some Hipshot tuners with a D X-tender for it. Can I Join?

Although you can't really tell from this picture, the bridge pickup does not stick out beyond the ashtray, but it is pretty close. I wouldn't say it looks bad though.
Well guys, Im not sure about the whole number thing. Its taking quite a while and there are bound to be mess ups, which usually leads to arguments about who gets what number.

I have a Squier not sure what year it is - is there somewhere you can reference the serial number and find out the year. I got mine in the 80's and it was used. I'll take a number as well if that is all sorted out if not that is cool too.

here is my shoreline gold P/J with a new pickguard and some EMG's. since these pictures were taken, it got knobs. they are chrome and they look quite nice.
i love this bass! played it at rehearsal monday, will probably gig with it friday.

I've seen another one which looked bad, though. Yours looks awesome, to be honest! Maybe the other bloke fitted his ashtray in a slightly wrong position?That's cool. Should put some DR Black Beauty strings on it too! I just got some, actually, they are very nice.
I tried those strings on a MIM J I blacked out- didn't sound bright or musical enough to me......maybe I will give it a shot again on the Sq VM J.

that pickguard is an allparts pickguard for a fender. it has holes for a pickup guard on it. maybe one or two of the screw holes lined up, so i had to fill in some holes and drill new ones. i figured for as cheap as i got the bass for and as nice as it played, it was really no sweat to get it to look how i wanted it to. got the pickguard really cheap, too- someone ordered it at GC and never picked it up, i think i got it for $25 or so. didn't know it wasn't going to be a direct swap until i got it home. all the filled holes are covered, and i will never sell it as the pickguard and pickups were a christmas present from my girlfriend. that and it plays and sounds fantastic and is a P/J, can't ask for more than that!
I have a red Affinity series P-bass now. Don't have any good pics yet. I've had a few issues with the input jack. I have had to resolder the jack twice. Get me info on the praise and worship club.
Okay, I'll join. Here's my old Squier P. It currently is undergoing some reconstruction into a 3-string (B,E,A) frankenbass. It was a trusty bass while it lasted.
That's the opposite to what I'm finding -- the BB's are bright and zingy. I likes 'em.
