i got my first modded squier affinity J stolen but luckily it was insured (it's the one in my equipment section)

so with my insurance money plus some savings, i'm making another squier J i bought off ebay all nice, with a custom made aaron armstrong soapbar in the bridge, a rio grande muy grande P where the neck pickup would be and i've already put a fender fretless ebony neck on

SO SIGN ME UP!

I've got the bottom of the line Squire P-Bass (affinity series). Black with a white pickguard. I lowered the action and changed the volume/tone knobs...that's it. I absolutely LOVE this bass. I've never had a single problem out of it (had it 2 years), and I play it to death. It sounds great, and stays in perfect tune. I play it more than my Fender MIA bass. My only complaint is that its heavy as an anvil, but I really don't care about that. Great bass.

I have owned a couple of these and I was really suprised as to how much I enjoyed playing it and how much I liked the tone. These can be had in new condition off ebay for a little over a hundred bucks so I consider it about the best value out there, SX included.

I got 2 Squires! the second bass i ever bought was a Squire.....1983 was the year.....black on black.....these are my current squires.

Both are 1983.......1 modified, black pickguard, '62 Fender pickups and a Shaller roller bridge....the other is completly stock. peace, John

Both are really sweet! I had an '83 as well but the neck went south on that one so I got rid of it. In hindsight I should have just replaced the neck and continued to enjoy the bass.

Joining the Vintage modified jazz bass love club here!
I bought this bass about 6 months and it still plays as good as the day I got it. Can't be beat for the price. I know most of everything's going to have to be upgraded on it eventually but it's still an awesome bass.

I also have this one laying around but i'm not 100% certain if it counts. The decal reads Fender in large then Squier series in small print. Anybody know what's up with this...?
