My VM jazz was slammin today. Really sounded great through my HA3500 and my GK RBH115. Mids were pumped. High contour knob at 3 o'clock. She was cutting nicely.

Less than two weeks after getting the Vintage Modified Precision TB Bass, I went back and picked up a VM Precision amber/natural with the maple board. Setup and strings and off to the gig it went this weekend. A steal for the $90 I paid for it. The Duncan Designed pickups sounded pretty good, although if I were to score a set of EMG's cheap I might get them and put them in this bass.
I have the 4 of the natural finish one! I want to change out the pick ups though, maybe after I buy a new new bassNice figuring on the maple! I'm jealous mine doesn't look like that.

Hi- I am thinking about pulling the trigger on a VM Jazz V, and putting an Audere drop in pre-amp plate.
My question... will it fit- or will there need to be mods to the holes and pickguard? I like the Olympic white model and I think I might also want to swap out the pickguard for tort- so anybody that could help with that - I would really appreciate that as well!!

Just pulled the trigger on the VM PJ..... gonna put a tort guard on it and call it macaroni....
It's the picture that Paul @ Sweetwater sent me.... I won't have it 'till next Wed. the 22nd
I got it !!!! yeah.... the Tort pickguard that I have doesn't fit so I will have to get a real one.... Plays well, great fit and finish....

I just brought home my first J bass. A squier VM. Pretty awesome bass. Just so happens to match my squier P

Not changing the pups - love the way they pair with the pre and sound just right to me. Still cannot believe how well this one sounds and plays for the minimal outlay. This is my first Squier after playing a Fender P for years, and I'm just blown away.

New strings, a new Classic Vibe hi mass bridge and a set up. Lovely.
Where did you get the himass bridge from? I've wanted to get one for each of my Squiers. Thanks
Sorry but I had to wait for one to come up on a well known auction site. £17 ish. Not sure how much that would be in $
My VM Jazz, sounds good, very playable, still stock at the moment, very happy with this bass

I've been starting at the Tele Specials as well. My only concern is that they have been noted to be heavy as as cinder blocks with that much basswood. Still, that pickup combination is damned tempting. And I think they look beautiful in the vintage blonde.
I heard there heavy but hay! I also heard that one was taken apart and it was found to be an alder body instead and that was on TB!! What are fender/squier up to??? I've never had a white bass before, that's what kinda puts me off. I'm torn.
