Yes. I've worn everything from flower power gear, a wig and a mask (different gigs and bands). Playing a gig in a theatre thr 'Green room' was the costume department and it was very hard to resist coming last onto the stage in an enormous and ornate purple hat probably last used in a production of The King And I.

If shoes, I range from some cool hip hikers like Morrell or if Tennis Shoes for Church gig, usually Hoka's and sometimes On Clouds.
Keen Austin shoes. They come in brown or black. Very durable. Great arch support. I own 4 pairs and they're the only shoes I own, because they're so comfortable and can work in most situations.
If sandals are called for, then it's Keen Newports.

Am I a snob for using Ecco and Dansko footwear.
AS a horse owner, I do not have one pair of western boots. I hate them, But I have Ariat work boots with sand covers on the laces.

Boots, stylish sneakers (not your New Balance)
Even when dressing down your dress should look deliberate. T-shirt = either a cool band shirt or a plain tee or again something stylish, but definitely not the 2018 First National Bank Fun Run, Chili Cook Off, and Charity Auction t-shirt with Jorts and White dad sneakers. The Zoo York T-shirt a few posts above is a good example of a stylish tee other than a band tee.

I agree.... most New Balance are not as "trendy" #notyouraveragenewbalance
I wear my Cowboy boots regardless of if I'm playing in my Country/Rock/R&B band, my Post Punk band, or my Instrumental Metal band. They just look good. I'm not even much of a country fan but the right pair of cowboy boots can look pretty rock-n-roll.
