I saw this on the youtubes and I got really exited. I'm not a fan of the reboots, but new Star Trek is new Star Trek so I'll take what I can get.

But this.......this......I don't know what to say. After watching it I died a little bit on the inside. I'm sure the masses will love rock and roll Star Trek but it only makes me sad.

Looks like Mission Impossible 6: The Fast and The Furious in Space. I almost expected to see Ben Stiller's character from Tropic Thunder make an appearance.

I'm fine with the new ST, as long as there is no Jar Jar Binks style character, or one like Neelix either.

They should bring back the gal that played Kes. She's apparently losing her mind and has become some kind of weird recluse, like me.

Someone played the trailer while at work tonight. I thought it was a new avengers movie at first. My biggest Trekkie coworker said that he could deal with the action, he just really wants a new movie.

I watched Thunderdome just yesterday. I know a lot of folks consider it a stinker, but I like it.

When Roberto Orci dropped out of directing and the rumor was in was going to be more action-oriented I gave up all expectations. The trailer indicates this was a wise move. Perhaps the movie will actually be thoughtful, but the trailer sure wouldn't indicate it.
