That's what I'm going to do, thanks. It was really so close on the tone. But, when I went to the extremes with cutting the bass or boosting the mids, it just sounded bad. But, there is no question about the bottom end. When I went outside to save my ears (forgot the earplugs) all the windows on the front of the bar were rattling, that was cool.

I guess I am going to place another order :eyebrow: GASsed again.

Good to see so many people having fun with the Steel Sound 2x12's!!!

On the 2x12 plus 2x10 idea - that's the bomb as far as I'm concerned. Allows the 12's to do their job while adding the punch and accuracy of the 10's to round out the sound.

I actually just sold mattsk42 my 2x12 cabinet. With MSC out of them right now, and my purchase of the 2 Wizzy's from bass_low, it was time to let it go to someone who needs it. It was rather difficult to package it all up last night. Go figure.

In any case, it's glad to see this thread is still alive and that bassists are hearing about MSC's quality and value.

Speaking of which, Dawn, I think I'll be winning one of your auctions for some monitors tomorrow. I'll drop you an email when I do. Hope you have a great weekend.

Well I found one on the 'Bay and ordered it this morning. I had been looking for one and saw that they were out of stock. I hope this cab is everything you guys say it is. GSPLBASSDC I will pick up the Groovebass 1200 next. Since we play similiar styles how does your 212 sound with the GB1200?

See there, you'll have a GB1200 and SteelSound 2x12 like me...and I'm getting a Tune 6 like you....and we're both gospel bassists!! pretty interesting.

Actually, our choir was in Kansas City this past Sunday, and I left the 2x10 behind and only brought the 2x12. It took some eq'ing to bring out more highs, but man, did that baby rumble!!! We had over 20 voices, drums, piano and (screaming) guitar, and my wife said she heard me just fine from the middle of the church. Really a great cab at a fantastic price...and I'm sure the over 650 watts I was pulling from the GrooveBass helped as well (I had the gain @ 1:00 and the master volume @ 2:00)

Amen, bro. I find it to be an awesome cab for worship music, from rocking out to altar calls.

Well since there's no 2x12 in stock, I'm trying out the Madison loaded 2x10 with a 1x15 with a Madison executioner. Just sent the order last night, can't wait to try it out. My first real bass rig as I've only been playing about 6 months after spending the last 15 years playing other instruments. I've been practicing with an Alesis Bassfire 60, which is a pretty good little amp, but band practice starts next week and it isn't enough for gigging. Powering the 210 and 115 with a Crown CE-1000 w/ a BBE 383 for a preamp. Got the BBE here on talkbass. Let the fun begin :hyper:

if you still want it.. yes.. it was listed by the web site.. ( which is automated) and it wasnt suppose to .. as we had none of these in stock. its a headache non stop with this new system.. so we can wait if you would like.. OR i can get you refunded..
