I'm sure this has been answered already, but what's the difference between these and the regular old Sterling by MM basses?

SBMM posted something earlier about *all* models being available through the EDN network.
I'm interested in the RAY5-BK and it does not appear on my local EDN dealers online store (www.lamusic.ca).
I can't call them today because they are closed for the holiday, though I suspect they would just tell me they can't order it.
Can EDN dealers order models that do not appear in the USA/CANADA catalog, such as the RAY5-BK?
Why not just buy one? [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
EDN Dealers in the USA and Canada carry our full line of Sterling By Music Man and SUB Series instruments.
Because LA Music sells the RAY5's for for the same price as MF but in CAD dollars. So LA Music = $300 CAD. MF sells it for $300 USD, but for canadians its $330 CAN.
MF charges the following additional on Canadian orders at checkout:
- shipping
- handling
- duty
- taxes.
So obviously LA Music (which is a 40 minute drive from me) who is a member of SBMM's Elite Dealer Network would be my best choice if they can order it for me.
SBMM posted
Which suggests that any EDN dealer has access to the full catalog. But, their website implies otherwise, and SBMM's postings here aboug GC/GF exclusive colours (like mint green) implies otherwise.
For this particular model (the RAY5-BK), the International Dealers have it, and the Americans get it through GF/GC, so the only people getting the raw deal appears to be Canadians.
I hope that's not the case, this would be my first purchase of an SBMM guitar.
The EDN announcemant stated "EDN Dealers in the USA and Canada carry our full line of Sterling By Music Man and SUB Series instruments.".
Does this mean that Canadian EDN retailers (LA Music is the nearest for me) can order instruments that are not in the US/CAN Catalog? E.g. I would like to purchase a RAY5-BK but it's only available in the International Dealers catalog, and at Musician's Friend and Guitar Center in the USA.
Kind of plain English. If it says USA/Canada only that is the case
I don't want to be too abrasive but seriously guys. I found the color availability on their site and I believe it's even discussed in this very thread. That response was a little off putting but jeez. Brian comes on here an answers questions all the time - that's more than what you get from most other companies.
