SUB for 2014? The old style Sabre with the mini switches, exposed poles and rosewood fingerboard in... hell any color really. The current green one with a rosewood fingerboard would be sweet too. The current green on a Sabre with rosewood and a white pickguard would be off the hook!

I tried one of the SUB4s at GC this past weekend. While I already have a EBMM StingRay Classic 5, I was completely blown away by the sound quality and the feel of the SUB. People were actually coming in to the bass room to listen to it (a first!).

How serendipitous that this thread should be here when I logged in! Today is NBD: I just got a Sub Ray4! I walked into a GC, and saw the low price... had to try it out. It was the beautiful brown one... Wow. Incredible bass. For the low price, or any price! Great deal.

I'm in this club. Just scored a brand new black/maple model for a steal. :)

Played one of these at my local GC and was seriously blown away by the playability, tone, and fun factor. I briefly owned a MM SR4 Classic. This gets me close enough to the MM sound that I can't justify spending the extra $1,000+ on a real deal.

Time for some help from all of you here. What colors would you like to see us add to the SUB Bass line for 2014?

In the Sterling Line, get us the natural in the 38mm spacing. Many of us just don't have the hands (and often play 3 hour gigs) for the wider spacing. Also make the Natural available with rosewood--same with Sunburst.

In the SUB series, bring back the Walnut Stain to the US market. When did it disappear from the US product list and why?

I want one so bad, but the combination of my penchant for narrow spacing and rosewood and my dislike of painted instruments is making it hard for me to find one to buy.

My dream Sterling By MM would be a Natural 38mm in RW and my dream SUB would be the return of the Walnut Stain.

Since we're putting in our requests... :-)
To contradict what ^^^he^^^ said, I prefer maple fretboards and no "vintage" orangy finish.
I'd pick up an SB4 in white(like the Ray4 white) or orange(from flake metallic a la bongo to solid a la this:
