Yep, love the blocks - and I love the color also. But I think it would look better with the pole pieces visible rather than blacked out. Don't know why, I just do.

own one of the very first MMSR5´s sold in Sweden. Black, rosewood fretboard. It´s built April 27, 1989. I bought it summer/fall 1989 and used it as my main bass for years. I still play on it from time to time and it is amazing to play. I removed the finish from the back of the neck ca 1992.

The Vault? I hear ya, I had to trade two guitars for this bass but it’s well-worth it! It’s lighter weight is going to save my back and the ease of playability is giving my fingers a break.
