How do you like the TI flats on it? I’ve been thinking about trying them on my SR5.
I have flats on one stingray and on a EBMM Sterling and half-flats on another Stingray.
The Sterling has super aggressive tone and the flats tame it to a level that works for me.

I like flats on them. Had a Sterling too before and a Stingray 4 and flats were my preferred strings. Low B isn’t bad at all. Like the post before me it tames it.

The low B strings on my Rays are the best in my stable. None of my other basses have anything nearly as good
EBMM have some of the best low Bs in the biz
I do think the compensated nut helps too with intonation higher on the B string
I think the preamp's special sauce plays into it also

Thank Goodness, Im still a lightweight. I have no plans to graduate to stage 3.
Here's my Stingray 5 20th Anniversary. The bass has been with me for a few months.
These ~330 Anniversary basses (~100 H models) have an ash body with a mahogany tone bloc and a revoiced preamp. I do not have another Stingray 5 to compare, but this SR5 does produce more low end than my SR4s.

I had a 20th Anniversary. Sweet bass. I gave it to my son and he’s doing good things with it in San Diego.
