Recently got my first sr5, an early 90s in honey burst but then I saw this 2016 stealth HH at a local shop. Got it for $500 and 2 basses I don’t play enough. Really like the extra tonal options and it’s a bit lighter and more sculpted than my 90s one. Can’t put it down.

LOVE Honeyburst, such a shame they discontinued it.
My Stingray Special 5HH and BIg Al 5SSS have been getting a lot of gig time this year, so I made a point to play my Honeyburst 5HH (2007, ceramic) for all four sets at last night. Even though it has the Sterling 5 electronics, it covered everything from quieter, jazzy songs and ballads to classic rock like Cream, The Who, ZZ Top, and more equally well.
When I realize one of my Musicmans are getting more time, I'll balance it out so they avearge about the smae amount of playing time. They're all great basses and I consider them my co-number ones.
This morning a fan posted a couple of videos on Facebook and got two pics with me (and the bass!

Agreed, the Honey Burst is such a cool color, only silver lining to them discontinuing it is that its all the more special now. That HH looks amazing! Finally added a 5HH to the collection, in Honey Burst. 2007 model that EBMM says was shipped with Alnico pups.

Obviously you were talking about the bass. I'm aged well past the point of ever being called a fine specimen again. LOL However, the bass IS., and yes, I AM flipping over that one. That's my favorite EBMM finish and and I own your bass's twin - a 2007 Honeyburst 5HH! Although I thought the 2008's are the first ones that came with alnico pickups? Did some 2007's get them?
Here's my lovely. It's actually my co-number one with my Stingray Special and my Big Al, but I've had this one far longer than those two and it has it a special place in my heart.
Apologies for the derail, threadmates and fellow Stingray aficionados, but I can't resist that request. Hopefully my Stingray above cancels out this sin.
Yes, they ARE super cool, and in multiple ways - sound, versatility, looks, and build quality. It's a shame they didn't sell well enough to be in production for more than a few years, but I get that they're a little "out there" for most people. To be honest, they are for me, too. Except for this one, every other bass I've owned was very conservative looking and almost all have been bursts. I was lucky to have gotten this one and I couldn't pass it up when it basically dropped into my lap.

I took the pickguard off of my Ibanez ATK305 many years ago when I had it repainted and it looks way cooler too.
