Man, I don't have words for how good Neon Warship was other than I orgasmed their entire set. Super tight, awesome grooves, and that bassist was one of the best live players I've ever seen in my life!

thats odd to me cause i had one and my SVT crushed it in terms of volume. mine was maxed out volume wise around 11 and after that it just got fuzzier.
if you blast the input on the bluebeard that can help but the V4 itself is only 100 watts vs the 300 for the SVT and while wattage is sometimes deceiving, running both at the same time like i did you can tell theres a massive headroom difference.
the V4 sounds awesome, theyre the flakiest amp ever. i blew mine up 6 times and while i had a lemon for sure, ive talked to numerous people who had issues with theirs. the late 70s ones are supposedly much more reliable, i had a 71 and id never buy another one again.

I have obtained permission from she-who-must-be-obeyed to buy a certain Sunn 215 up for sale from a certain John in the classifieds, just have to get the cost for NZ shipping. Which will be huge, but I'll be selling my Orange cabinet for it.
I've had mine for about 2 ish years and it's still kicking. Mine is a later model, '76 or '78. Other then probably needing a cap because it's been road hard and is a little noisy, it is still one of the best sounding "cranked to meltdown" bass amps I have heard..... To date, in person and live.
Speaking of tone, when is the last time you were floored by someone's tone. Not good tone, not great tone, I mean jaw dropping. I myself can't think of one off the top of my head. Also this would be a in person experience.
The bone-rattling volume was part of it, but Al Cisneros sounded pretty awesome both times I saw Sleep.
Well, the dually is an efficient cab. Still... the V4 is only a hundred watts, and playing doom.... better get an additional dually.
