Non Doom News:
- Just found this band: http://noxse.bandcamp.com/
-> Kind of like a Looser dirtier Against Me / Explosion before they started to suck.... Hooked me enough to buy the LP... Then again I like a lot of fast stuff due to my history with punk / HC.

After Playing the V4 with the fuzzes last night I like the SS growl of the Acoustic. The thought of lugging around that vintage amp and slamming it with fuzz and filters scares me a little. I think I'm going to end up using the Acoustic & Meatsmoke for most things that involve traveling and reserve the V4 for home use and recording.

I feel like I missed something... Adam - What SS are you using... And which Ric are you after? I'm still looking forward to checking out the EAR Delay Demo. I saw it in my soundcloud lastnight, when I was posting those Fuzz Demo's.
If anyone missed that post and is interested here's some Fuzz both Stacked and Solo. Big Spider / Lodestone / Ratking

I was just kidding about the solid state. I do have an Acoustic 450 and Traynor TS200 that I bring as back ups though. I got a line on a 4004LK. The Lemmy Ric.

Did you try the Big Spider in a band setting? To me that pedal just screamed this is how to disappear in the mix when I owned one for a couple of days.

I used it in the last band I was in. At the time I was playing a hybrid Markbass (r500) - It sounded HUGE! The style of the band was a bit different, but it worked out really well when I wanted everything to turn into a giant wall of bombarding sound. I'm jamming with some Doom-ier dudes Sunday so I'll provide an update. It paired surprisingly well with the Lodestone, but again... we'll see how it sounds in a band setting.... I'm sure it heavily depends what sort of sonic rage the guitars are occupying but I also run clean signal so that helps balance it out too.
