Tuners are far more accurate than humans or the strings themselves. That bouncyness is your string going in and out of tune. It you hit it harder it bounces more. That first peak it hits it the note you hit while your playing (strings go sharp when you play). Set it to strobe mode if you have OCD but you'll never get it perfect unless you play softly and consistently.
I saw Gigantour tonight. It was awesome to finally see Volbeat. Motorhead is awesome as usual. But man, Megadeth might be the tightest live band in the world. I've seen them probably 30 times and they're just flawless every time.

Looks like a 1986 Ibanez RB885.

Never played a bass with the "LO-B" pickups but I know they were used on other basses such as the Ibanez "Bean" basses. Looks like they are a single blade pole piece. $200 for a MIJ 80s Ibanez is a pretty decent price if you like the way it feels and sounds. Looks like these were a predecessor to the Sound Gear line.

Question for you guys. Got a quote for $65 to get the neck on the Artist straightened out and a new nut cut. That seems reasonable right? Never had something like this done before.

I'm upset that this is not part 666.
But, to celebrate the new rendition of this thread, I am setting my T-40 up for C standard and am going to riff through my Bluebeard. Will report back within an hour.

Seems pretty low actually, but I know things tend to be more expensive in Mass/NY than other places in the country.
One of the nicest parts of moving back to Pittsburgh. Got a HUGE cost of living cut and a $10k salary increase 
The price seemed reasonable to me, considering the amount of work involved. But I don't know any repair shops here and just went with one I found on google that's highly rated. Heard good things about the place and the guy seemed nice.
Since the original bridge is physically broke and I need to put a new nut on the bass, I figure why not just put one of these on there: SuperTone Bass Bridge > Store > Hipshot Products

Any of you guys ever use a separate thumb rest? Going to see how the Artist plays once it's all fixed up but I'm a thumb achorer and there's no good place to anchor on the Artist. Was thinking of getting a thumb rest that somewhat matches the body to stick in between the pickups.

why wouldnt you use those huge pickups to anchor your thumb? that bottom pickup seems like the perfect place.
